I'm looking for a manga that has magicans in a school and a boy comes there and he ruins the cermony since he has a special kind of magic and not one of the usuall magic abillitys. Then i also remember that the abillity the person had depended on the card they got from the cermony and the boy also had a dark past and a cute fox like pet with two tales that turned into a monster in one chapter??

Maybe Tenkyuugi - Sephirahnatus? Though the ceremony isn't ruined by him alone and the fox-thing seems to have one tail. I haven't read far enough into it to know whether or not his past is dark.
