Hi I recently read Kasane and was wondering whether there were any manga that are the same?

Basically something where there is an obsession with beauty/ vanity and the psychological aspects of
it.
I guess the ugly to pretty transformation but with a dark undertones and a female main character although I think that's a given.

Helter Skelter definitely. Don't be discouraged by the art. The art may be one of the worst you have encountered, but the story is wonderful and worth enduring the art for.

i'm not sure but in his and her circumstances (a.k.a kare kano) the female lead is what you would call the "queen of vanity", for the most part it is a romantic comedy but it does get pretty dark...

Litchi Hikari Club is quite a big stretch, but i find their obsession with beauty of youth quite interesting

Shibou to Iu Na no Fuku o Kite is very similar to helter skelter where the obsession of weight is tearing apart a person
