Something with a lot of characters who become friends and weren't in the beginning, kind of like tower of god or like one piece, reborn and all that.

It has to have many characters, and it can be shojo or shonen, even josei or seinen. Only it can't have any ecchi. I just can't stand ecchi.

Oh and it has to either be ongoing or have a lot, and I really mean a lot, of chapters (over 50).

What I've already read : One Piece, Tower of God, Reborn (didn't like it because of Tsuna, no character development), Bleach, 1/2 prince, etc. I can't remember the rest.

Adventure is a plus but it doesn't have to be. As long as it's not a slice of life lol. Comedy is also a plus!

Thank you!

Edit: I know I said Manga but it can be a Manwha too, doesn't matter!

first one i thought of is Bokura no Kiseki, although this one is not really a light read and has some mystery and suspense in it

i also have
Dear? maybe this one is, it has 3 different groups of friends come together and all become friends, but romance is a big thing in it (ongoing 55 chapters)

Legend of The Sun Knight -highly recommend this one, its about all the holy knights of the Light Gods church, comedy is pretty big in this one but it does have its serious moments. manhua does not go very far though so i would read the novel (ongoing manhua 16 chapters, novel 6 volumes)

Hunter x Hunter -only has 4 people come together but friendship is a pretty big part of this one, i would watch the anime though the art is kind of sketchy (hiatus 340 chapters)

D. Gray Man -one of my all time favorite manga(my profile pic is the MC) this one is probably the darkest out of my suggestions but the characters are awesome (hiatus 218 chapters)

Erementar Gerad -its about 5 people that travel together in search of the garden of Eden, adventure and comedy are main characteristics (completed 18 volumes)

Fairy Tail
Nanatsu no Taizai Says it's ecchi but it's not really any more than your average shounen.
Dorohedoro Probably best example I have, it'my fav manga but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Since someone said Legend of the Sun Knight, I'm gonna recommend Kill No More, also by the same author as LotSK and 1/2 Prince. The manga art isn't too good, but story should fit perfectly. Honestly, all her novels fit pretty damn well. May want to look it up some time if you haven't already. Raws are of course best and readily available on her blog, but I do believe most of them are translated into English.

Inuyasha and Shaman King?
And also Fairy Tail maybe? Haven't read/watched it, but it seems to fit.

Bremen
Sket Dance Well, the characters start friends, but there are flashbacks showing how the friendship began, so it may work.
