I'm wondering if there's a manga or anime out there, where the two MC are really really close and has the best friendship going for them, but one of them is a girl.

Gender bender is fine, if it's the girl pretending to be a guy.

I don't want it to be: ecchi, harem, yuri, yaoi, shounen-ai, shoujo-ai, lolicon, shotacon, hentai, psychological. If there's any romance I'd prefer it to be subtle and obviously between the two MCs. Actually maybe I would be fine with shounen/shoujo-ai, like maybe one of the MC's is gay, and that's why they can be such great friends, but then I don't want to much focus on romance.

I'd be okay if either the guy or girl is the protagonist.

I want a story that is fun to read, so as little tragedy or serious drama as possible.
