Hello!

My mind just played a trick on me. While starting with the first chapter of The Prince's Cactus by Xu Ci/ Misha, I came to realise that it wasn't the manga I had taken it for. In fact, its opening pages were completely foreign to me. Now, I'm looking for the series (or the figment of my imagination) I had believed it to be:

The story starts off with a young, successful foreigner who is on a business trip to some Asian country. He's got a whole entourage of bodyguards with him but - surprise, surprise! - he somehow manages to wander off on his own. Then he meets a strong-willed young woman - she may have been a high-school student - whom he takes a liking to in spite of their language barrier. For a reason that I can't remember, she ends up buying him some meat on a skewer from a food stall in a park. Later, we learn that he's been hospitalised because he's allergic to one of the fast food's ingredients.

I've already checked every possibly related category, but I still couldn't find anything. The only additional hint I've got is the art style. It looked so similar to the one of The Prince's Cactus' that I had been convinced to have got it right after seeing the cover.

Please tell me I didn't go nuts and my mind didn't make the whole story up.

there is a series I think fits your description. What I remember from 100% Perfect Girl is ridiculously similar to what you've described. Not 100% sure, though, since I read it quite a while ago

You're right, thanks. It's been really bugging me, but after finding it, I can even remember why I dropped it after the first few chapters. Thanks again for figuring it out.
