Looking for your typical shounen, where the MC gets or awakes some power or finds a mecha, meets a girl, and then saves the world. But! Where the MC is an adult and not some teenage kid.

666 satan is probably the perfect manga for you it has everything your looking for but it takes a while untill you see the MC grow up.

Dragon's Son Changsik Cant get more adult then Alfonso

Eekk! Dragon's Son Changsik looks a little too adult...

I've tried Hosho no Samidare before, read several chapters, but it didn't grow on me.


I've also read a chapter or two of Onepunch-Man, but didn't like it at all from what I can remember.


I'll give 666 satan a try to see what that is.


But I'm looking more for something like Speed Grapher, I've only seen the anime tho. It fits what I'm looking for pretty good.

Nurarihyon no Mago. Rikuo more or less turns into an adult when his powers awaken... Not sure if that fits what you want... Meeting girl(s) and saving the world does happen though.

Superior and Superior †... Well, at least I think he's an adult. Not a kid anyway Has power from the start. But girl-meeting and world-saving is involved.

Gintama It's much more focused on comedy but it should fit.

Sengoku Youko Most MCs are adults, the protagonist is middle aged in the 1st arc. Find a power/weapon, save the World, meet a girl, all checks...

Pumpkin Scissors

Saiyuki and sequels All MCs are adults, but for Goku who seems more like a teenager (although he's much older IIRC)

Jojos Bizarre Adventure and all its sequels/spin offs.

Toriko Very shounen-ish, but the 2 MCs are adults.

Samurai Deeper Kyo

Eat-man Immortal MC, can't get older than that.

3x3 Eyes The protagonist is a young adult iirc, gets power, meets girl, fights badass villains... Very long and complete, and a decent read if you like action/adventure shounen.

If you don't mind old mangas, you should check some of them from the 70s/80s, they used to more often have adult/middle-aged protagonists even in shounen, like Black Jack, City Hunter, Space Adventure Cobra, etc...
