Last night I read The Legend of Sun Knight, and it was soooo freaking good omg I actually didn't sleep until 7 am. I also read a bit of Shin Sekai Yori and I enjoyed it a lot too.

Now I'm on a light novel binge, so please recommend me good ones! Thank you!
I am practically open to any and all genres ~

edit;;; rather than light novels are they called novels instead?? idk

The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor and Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. These are by far the best light novels I've ever read.

ill strongly second Rakuin no Monshou (Novel) (though it is very different from LotSK), and 1/2 Prince (Novel), if you liked LotSK then you will like this one it has a similar feeling to with the same type of comedy.

also Baccano! (Novel) is a really good one too it has an anime too if your interested

Kieli (Novel) LOVE this series to pieces

Sugar Apple Fairytale (Novel) Pretty great, too
Hakushaku to Yousei (Novel) (google search will find you the site with 7 volumes translated) I love this series to bits as well, planning to buy a few volumes in Japanese next paycheck if that's any indication.

No. 6 (Novel) Man, this was such an amazing novel with and amazing translation! Manga is really good too

If you don't mind a bit of Yaoi these two are really great (and I'm not really into Yaoi, just read these because of the translator and they ended up being such... emotional and rather beautiful reads).
In the Box (Novel)
Utsukushii Koto (Novel)

I recommend all of these series wholeheartedly smile
And none of them are translated by Baka-Tsuki (others are recommending mainly those), I feel that their translations always end up without much personality, like a how-to manual or something.

My best light novel read has to be
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei , loved the unison between magic and science, which I have pictured it when I First saw the anime's and manga's with magic and science being mixed in together. Just not many would take it up a notch like
this one!
You've probably seen the anime but I would say Sword Art Online would also be a nice read, as I couldn't wait anymore for the release, I decided to take up reading, then I ended up binging on Light Novels too haha.

For more I would recommend:
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk
Mokushiroku Arisu
Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance
Chrome Shelled Regios

Book Girl is a really good one to read, if you don't mind the story being dark and depressing (I almost couldn't continue after volume 2, because I found the ending REALLY depressing) - although they are depressing, the story is really good, and they are available in english.

another good one is Mardock Scramble. It has a Sci Fi setting, and it's a really nice one, also available in english.

Surprised to see no one recommended Juuni Kokki. This series is a masterpiece.
Full Metal Panic! (Novel)
Gosick (Novel)
Kure-nai (Novel)
Mokushiroku Alice (Novel)
Seirei no Moribito (Novel)
Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (Novel)
Shuuen no Shiori (Novel)
Kagerou Days (Novel)
Strawberry Panic! (Novel)

I highly recommend Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu (Novel). This stuff is good, except for a few ecchi scene, but if you can live through those, the books have a lot to offer.

Durarara!! (Novel) is a good read. And there is a good chance that Baccano! (Novel) is a good read too. I mean, it was written by the same author as Durarara!! and the anime was awesome, though I haven't read it yet.

I'm currently reading Risou no Himo Seikatsu in japanese (there is no translation for this one). While normally I probably wouldn't be able to read it (or at least at reasonable speed), the author publishes chapters on the internet and all of them are freely available as plain text. In firefox there is an awesome plugin called Rikaichan which show reading of japanese words in kana and their meaning in english when you hover mouse over them. Thanks to this I can actually read the book with my very limited japanese and maybe I'm learning some new words through this (at least I hope I do).
