Help narrowing down my lists.

My "wish" lists have been out of control, and I want something to read ... except I can't decide, and right now I'm in one of those 'if this doesn't grab my attention in the first page it goes back into the wish list pile' sort of mood.

The main lists I am trying to narrow down are my
Next 15 to read from wish list
Interested in right now
Secondary Reading List
lists.
I am open to suggestions from the other lists I have (minus the ones the have "Not until completely scanlated" in it, Not until it's finished, and of course the ones that say complete in it), all public, but not all linked here.
Fair warning ... My wish list has 973 manga on it ....

Please recommend the tops I should read right away. That would make me need to post in the Series you should have read sooner thread.
If the recommendation is a long series please say why I should give it a shot. (I tend to feel let down with really long series for some reason, and would need extra nudging)
Oh I probably need a bit of nudging for any recommendation ...

Thank you for taking the time to scroll through my lists, and making a comment.

i suggest Superior (also its sequel) and Otoyomegatari ^^ no reason other than i've read those and liked them. They both have good art, especially Otoyomegatari.

Out of your "next 15" list:
Gar to Ouji-sama - I delayed on reading this one for the longest time and then finally read it when I was bored one day. It actually was a lot better and funnier then the description let on. It was predictable but still cute.
Haikyo Shoujo - the first story really grabs your attention.
I Love You Until the End of the World - Just the fact that the story is from the stalker's point of view really enriched the story.
Ichikyuu - Not your typical shoujo male lead
My Heaven - A sweet/sad story of love and sacrifice between a human and non-human
Ore ga Akuma de, Aitsu ga Yome de. - Funny, cute, 2 volume long read.
Slice of Black Chocolate - Extremely short and surprising read.
Touhou Shinigami: Meteor Methuselah Gaiden - Zol's back story makes it all worth it.

Snow Drop and Land of Silver Rain are interesting and pretty good but certain parts might really bore you.

Out of your "Interested Right now" list:
Basara - Well written and portrayed. Good character interactions, expressions, actions, and personalities.
Magic Insulator - Story was well thought out but the ending felt unfinished. It was one of those "there should be more chapters where are they?" stories. I guess the author gave up on it but it was still a good read.
Otoyomegatari - too unique to pass up

Out of your "Secondary reading" list:
Samenai Yume - it is disturbing but it leaves an impact so it is hard to forget.
Otona Keikenchi
Hana no Mizo Shiru
Teirui Makura

Out of "wish list - oneshot":
Airuika
Akuma ni Itsukushimi no Te o
Bigger Hunter
Bitter or Sweet
Darling Mania
Hello Baby
[m]I'm a Pet[/m]
Kagome
Kimi to Date
Kiyomizu Iroha wa Koi o Shiranai
Kon no Ki Konoha
Kuma-san to Issho
Maigo no Obakeyashiki
Makka na Tulip o Kimi ni
Mannin Densha to Watashi to Kare
Miyuki no Ori
Nekomori
No no Kagi
Rakka Koibumi
Rinjin
Rokuyoku
The Girl on the Other Side of the Glass
Unknown Letters

Out of "wish list - ongoing":
Okobore Hime to Entaku no Kishi
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi

From your "Wish list":
Ano Kado wo Magatta Tokoro
Beauty Pop
Boku no Chikyuu o Mamotte - unique, well written, and art work improves as story goes on.
Castle Mango
Cat Street
Erotic Horror
EX - Shounen Hyouryuu
I ♥ HS
Ibara no Ou
Invoke - It never finished but it was still a good read.
Koi wa I na Mono Myou na Mono
Meine Liebe
Merupuri
Mikan no Tsuki
Miriam
Mizu ni Sumu Hana
Mizuiro to Pinku, Sore kara Daidai
Nakizakura Kitan
Nineteen, Twenty-One
Rabu Kare - Gokujou Men Dokuhon! - Chapter 1, 5, and 6
Rec - Kimi ga Naita Hi
Recca no Honoo - the main character's personality is hilarious and I love the way the story flows
Running on Empty
Ryouko no Shinrei Jikenbo
Sakura-Gari
Sayonara Football
Seven Days
Shadow of Visions
Shirahime-Syo
Star-like Words
Surf Junkie
Tenshi na Konamaiki - funny, interesting, great characters.
Tsuki no Shippo - Can bore you at some points but otherwise it is a funny, heart warming, and sometimes sad story that shows the protagonists growth in life.
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan
Wild Wing
Yamamoto Zenjirou to Moushimasu
Yumenara Samenaide

Gotta second what Sogno has written, which is Otoyomegatari and Superior.

I highly recommend Sugar Dark - Umerareta Yami to Shoujo, though I have to warn you that there is one (somewhat) guro scene. Other than this one scene in one chapter this manga is gold.

Man, I understand what you mean about long series. I always end up putting them off because I'm afraid of being disappointed down the road.

Anyway, from your next fifteen to read list, Omae ga Sekai o Kowashitai nara is really the only one I would say you just have to read. It's a really interesting look at reincarnation and destiny, and the ending is incredibly trippy. Even after all these years, I'm still not entirely sure what everything means, but it's one of those manga that stick with you, for sure.

Dawn - Tsumetai Te, Ojou-sama to Youkai Shitsuji, Superior, and Touhou Shinigami: Meteor Methuselah Gaiden are also worth reading, though I wouldn't say to read them now.

Dawn is an interesting spin on zombie stories, though it doesn't really do anything really out of the norm, but it's a nice read (and I'm a fan of the mangaka Ueda Shinsyu so I might be a bit biased towards it).

I'm also a fan of Fujiwara Cocoa, and it's clear that Ojou-sama to Youkai Shitsuji is a prototype for her later Inu x Boku SS. It's a really sweet collection of oneshots, per usual Fujiwara Cocoa standard. A good read if you're in the mood for unabashed fluff.

Superior is a fairly typical star-crossed lovers story, though Ichtys's execution makes it a worthwhile read. Its effect really depends on how much of a mood you're in for adventure romances, and how willing you are to enjoy the manga at face value.

The Immortal Rain gaiden is, of course, if you're in the mood for more Immortal Rain. It's a nice one-volume read that sits perfectly in-line with the original story.

For your interested list, definitely pick up Akumu no Elevator, Alive: The Final Evolution, and Otoyomegatari.

I actually just read Akumu no Elevator, and I have to say, even when knowing that it would be an incredibly twisty manga, I still never expected most of its plot twists. It's also a fairly fast read, so you'll probably get through it in less than an hour.

Alive: The Final Evolution is amazing. Its theme of living and dying is fully explored throughout its run, and it doesn't shy away from asking difficult questions with no answers. One aspect of the ending is slightly disappointing, but that doesn't detract too much from the work as a whole. It's truly an ambitious series, and I think it mostly succeeded with what it was trying to convey. It's also a page-turner.

Otoyomegatari is great. It has stellar storytelling and incredible art. Truly, Mori Kaoru is a master at doing what she does: writing down-to-earth stories about the lives of everyday people. A lot of sequences are wordless for maximum effect too, so this series is really easy to read through, and it's really fun to just flip through the pages and stare at the beautiful art too.

Ann Cassandra and Smoker are also worth reading, though I would just save them for a rainy day. The former is fun while the latter is an easy BL read. Neither are entirely spectacular, but they're both nice little escapes when boredom strikes.

On your secondary reading list, nothing really screams out to me that you have to read them now, but I did enjoy Hana no Mizo Shiru, Isoganaide, and Tight Rope. None of those are "must read"s though.

Interested in right now:
Otoyomegatari - unique plot, gorgeous art, slow pace story telling

Secondary Reading List:
Complex - you'll hardly find a yaoi following a couple through their whole life like this one
Dokuhime - if you like lolita/goth-artstyle this is a must

Great ending suggestions:
Hetakoi - dunno the ending yet, cause I read this at the moment. I'm halfthrough and really like it. Clear and pretty art, good characterisation, nice twists ...

Wish List:
Ano Kado wo Magatta Tokoro - one of my alltime yaoi favorits
Empty Heart - one of the older Minase manga, the older ones are the best IMO.
Harenchi no Susume - one of these rare yaoi with two seme! If you like this constellation it's a must.
Merupuri - cute
Nemureru Tsuki - only if you can handle tragedy and sad endings
New York New York - one of these rare yaoi reflecting a realistic gay relationship
Sono Te no Netsu wo Kasanete - this is a good read, like most of Hyouta Fujiyamas works
Sono Yubi Dake ga Shitte Iru - sweet and innocent

Thank you Sogno, OrchardPetalLullaby, jahu, Lorska, Suxinn, and annebel for taking the time to look through my lists.

A quick thanks, will edit this later when I have more free time.

I'll start off with Superior and it's sequel since it was most recommended. Oh, am I just crazy or was Otoyomegatari always ongoing? I thought at one point I saw it was finish O.o
