Hi!
I'm looking for mangas (animes, manwhas, ect.) with characters who don't think or act normally. They could be the happy type, like everyone from One Piece and Fairy Tail; or darker characters like in Freesia. I would like it to be a big deal in the manga that the character/characters aren't normal. And I prefer shounen or seinen with at least some action.

first thing i thought of is Gintama, this one is all about weird characters. its a seinen and it has action but only in certain arcs, though the anime is better in my opinion.

and maybe Hunter x Hunter, the MC is a little dumb but not to the point that you hate him for it, this has an anime too, actually two of them, the newer one starts over from the beginning.

Monster Hunter Orage -hes definitely crazy in this one, and this one is done by the same author/artist that did fairy tail MASHIMA Hiro

I have to agree, most shounen do have this type of character, survival mangas tend to like them too.

Try Abnormal-kei Joshi or Soul Eater for a setting where insanity is the norm.

Yeah, I know they do, but I am pretty sure I have read or tried most of them, so I was looking for something a little less well know. Probably should have mentioned that

Although it's a book, trilogy actually, but there's this sci-fi space/time-travel thing.

In the third book appears this mysterious new race called the Fangs, whose logic is just.. Well.. Different, I'd say. When I had encountered it, I was truly perplexed and wanted to figure it out so much that I was thinking about it almost constantly every time the book got out of my hands.

If you are discouraged by the fact, that it's a trilogy, it really isn't that long.
In my country it's even sold as one book edition.

Being long doesn't bother me, but I can't seem to find an English translation. Was it translated unofficially?
