A - There is mention of a dead lover, family member, friend, or pet in the story. The story has a demon, angel, (guardian) spirit, or ghost in it and they turn out to not be the person who died or their reincarnation.
Basically I'm looking for a story that makes you think that the demon, angel, (guardian) spirit, or ghost is the person who died or their reincarnation but then it turns out that they aren't.
Example: Tears of A Devil
B - I'm okay with a story that is about a human or other nonhuman who people believe to be the person/thing/animal/etc who died or the reincarnation of something/someone as long as they turn out to not be the reincarnation, person, thing, etc.
I know that this happens in Please Save My Earth
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
with Rin saying he was Shukaido and Haruhiko saying he was Shion when they obviously weren't
It also happened in It's Two PeopleSpoiler (mouse over to view)
with the reincarnation of the snake not being who they originally thought it was.
In both these examples it was obvious to the readers that the characters were not the reincarnation they were thought to be. I'm really looking for something more like Threads of Time where Spoiler (mouse over to view)
the protagonist turned out to be the reincarnation of the villain in the story but the reader didn't really expect it.
So I'm looking for it to be more of a surprise. I'll be happy to get requests regardless of whether it is a surprise to the readers or not though.C - It's the complete opposite but I am also looking for a story where one of the characters does turn out to be the reincarnation of the dead family member, friend, lover, or pet of another character but that they sacrifice themselves to save that other character.
Example: Rasen no Kioku
I'm okay with any genres. I'd rather not read hentai but if the story is really good and corresponds with any of the things I'm looking for then it is always worth a look.
Thanks again....
