I'll admit that I objectify matters, but is it so bad to believe people should refrain from placing a game above their own well-being and above morals? I don't know why you brought up alcohol or child singers, or what a beiver is...but I'm not condemning sports, dude. I play soccer, I watch sport ...

You're the "it's only a game guy"? Fair play but when you involve money...less "only" and for the crazy fans, well..where ever there is enough people, you will get mob mentality.

We lost to germany, ref was bias as hell, could've yellowed pepe at least...anyways i ramble.
I wounder how USA is going to look after germany and portugal.
Less smiles i imagine.

Well, I support Portugal... (fml) but Japan is next and then Brazil... Pretty sure Brasil is going to win but I hope Japan gets at least to the quarters.

Portugal... well... I don't even think Ronaldo can save us... xD

I think it's up in the air. Brazil is a favorite of many, but the game against Croatia left a lot to be said, and everyone thought that Mexico would be an easy opponent, and they only managed to tie them.

I like a lot of the underdogs that most likely won't go far.
I like:
USA
South Korea
Japan
Russia
Ghana.

Maybe The Netherlands will be the grand surprise and take the cup, they've been so close many times.

I do hope Germany will go all the way this time, and it's been looking good so far, but it's not all about winning.
It's the atmosphere; people talking and debating enthusiastically about the matches, looking forward to seeing the games in the evening (they start at 6 p.m. here), enjoying the good weather with beer and football, and of course that the world cup this year seems full of goals, most of the sides in the tournament trying to play attractive attacking football, unlike 4 years ago.
It's a shame Spain went out like that, what an end to 6 years of dominance. I hope Brazil will stay a little longer in the tournament. The mood is always somewhat dampened if the host country is knocked out too early.

After their showing versus US (portugal) I'm not gonna lie, they look solid. Way more solid than brazil if I'm honest.
The people you have to watch out for. Italy, chillie and as strange as this sounds....Netherlands (giant killers).

And now France is going strong. Also, Costa Rica is wiping the floor with three former champions!

I don't know anything about soccer. I looked up 'Canada FIFA team' on Wikipedia and found this:

'In the midst of Floro's player identification and restructuring phase, the team sank to its lowest ever FIFA world ranking at 114 overall in November 2013.'

Hahahahaha we're so terrible!!! biggrin (Sorry Canadian team...)

Yep they sure did. Costa Rica has proven to everyone that they are not underdogs.
Nigeria vs Iran has so far been the most disappointing match.
You gotta commend Australia they did not go out easy unlike Spain.

USA vs Portugal, man...i thought Portugal was out of this cup, but i stayed till those last dying second of the game to see the goal. Brilliance.

That match... gah. Freakin' Bradley.

Realistically though, Portugal is already out lol. They'd have to score some miracle goals consistently against Ghana (who is a strong team and has better defense than Portugal) to even think about advancing, and they'd also have to hope USA loses scoreless against Germany. That is almost impossible, the former, not the latter.

BELIEVE

Germany 3-0 USA and portgal 2-0 ghana.

Germany just have to do us a solid and white wash the worn out USA from the portugal match. Few players on the USA team looked like they pulled a few hamstrings, here's hoping they only come into it at 70%.

Pepe will be back on portugal, maybe we can have a much more solid defense. BELIEVE!

Not gonna happen that being said Suarez really needs a muzzle. For crap sake this is his 3rd time he has bitten someone.

Nigeria played very well against Argentina just now with a final score of 3-2 to Argentina.
