I'm looking for a manga that has a skilled Servant/Slave serving someone. When I mean skilled, the servile person could be incredibly smart or physically strong. Good examples would be GU FANG BU ZI SHANG, Chang Ge Xing, Love in the Mask and maybe A Tackle on My Life. Doesn't necessary always have to be shounen or seinen, I don't mind shoujo. I don't really care about the gender of the slave or the person in charge but they cannot be the same gender meaning I don't want Yaoi. The slave also cannot be a wuss with a inferiority complex. I don't really mind the typical master-slave romance but it would be nice if there was some action as a bonus. I do not want a all round comedy or something overly echii like HAYATE THE COMBAT BUTLER and HE IS MY MASTER, I want the story to be serious with a slight fragrance of comedy

Sugar Apple Fairy tale - Sharp-tongued slave. It's ambiguous if he's willing to stab his master in the back if it means getting his freedom. (I like him, a lot. lol).

How about...
The Earl and the Fairy Raven
Shin Angyo Onshi Sando
Devils and Realist. He has quite a few. 72 Goetia demons (we only get to see a few tho). You might feel a bit of a BL vibe but it doesn't go anywhere

Off the top of my head, I'd say IZUMI Kaneyoshi's Joou no Hana fits the bill perfectly. The royal mistress and her servant, a former slave, were brought up together and have acquired the same amount of fighting skills and political, economic and military knowledge. Only later on, the heroine started to focus on the less physically demanding strategic part, whereas the male lead backs her up in physical military and, of course, emotional matters. You could go as far as to call them equal partners in disguise. The romance has yet to flourish.
Then there's Teru Teru x Shounen by TAKAO Shigeru. An underestimated gem from the mangaka's early days. The art is slightly dated but still very expressive. You might forget about it over the dark ninja family drama that unfolds under the pretense of a light-hearted school life rom-com. Sports some very endearing "couple" growth.
If you're okay with former master-servant pairs, check out Boukyaku no Haou Roland by YOSHINO Takumi/ HADUKI Tubasa. The male lead used to be the heroine's bodyguard and confidant but due to one of his mistress' requests their positions change to a more or less equal standing. The ex-servant turns out to be sharp-tongued and more powerful than he lets on about.
FUJIWARA Cocoa's Youko x Boku SS might be a bit of a stretch but the male servant is undeniably powerful and shrewd underneath his submissive exterior.
If you're willing to start a dropped series, Lady Detective by Jun Hye-Jin/ LEE Gi Ha might cater to your taste. A young, witty noble daughter investigates murder cases in Victorian England. Her equally smart fiance, who used to be a skilled attorney, now serves her as a butler and partner in crime. He has widespread social connections at his disposal.
There's also a more generic Shoujo alternative: SHIGEMATSU Takako's Kyuukyoku Venus. The male lead is technically not the heroine's servant but her grandmother's, however he also has to cater to her well-being to a certain degree. Pretty cliched capable servant who dangles between strict tutor and knight in shining armour. Not my cup of tea but you should see for yourself.
Last but not least, there's Yumemiru Koto by HOSHINO Lily. Very distinctive art style with slender characters. The premise is a bit like the one in Boukyaku no Haou Roland before things get out of hand: A high ranking guard has to put up with a spoilt princess who has developed the unhealthy habit of rejecting powerful suitors and only accepting their magical items as gifts. On indefinite hiatus.

These are great recommendations, I've read most of these but I see some that I have not read and willing to try, thank you.
