I want to buy some new series, but I just don't know which one.
So does anyone know about a manga that requires the following:
- complete
- not to long
- a good rating
- still available in English
- no rushing or messed up end like in Cage of Eden

I don't have a genre preference (I like comedy, horror, dark ambient, action, adventure, drama, fantasy, martial arts, sport, supernatural, sports, mystery, school life, etc.)
The only thing I really dislike is tragedy and ecchi(their are exceptions).

I've tried a lot of searching on MU, but lately it is really a mess to find the right picks between the licensed in English search.
Stuff can be out of print, only released digitally, simulpub only, and so on.... And I can only get the printed versions.
I hope that their will be an option to search on the availability type, this would make it much easier.
So, has anyone any idea what would be worth a purchase.
Other suggestions are also welcome. biggrin

Are oneshot collections ok, or do you prefer just continuous stories? Anyways, as you don't give too much to go on, I'm just throwing these out there - take them as you will:

Tenken - This series has gorgeous artwork, a decent plot, and can be found for around $3 on amazon (plus shipping), so it's about as good a value as you can find.

Tekkonkinkreet, Rohan at the Louvre - For both of these, I'd suggest checking out other works by the author to see if you're interested.

NonNonBa - Old-school slice of life goodness.

Akira, for sure. 6 volumes. This is the series that got me into manga in the first place. Wiki it to learn the full extent of its greatness. smile

I love Nijigahara Holograph (1 volume) but it's probably not for everyone.

March Story

-5 volumes
-beautiful art
-happy and sad endings for different characters
- gothic/dark feel

The only thing I didn't like about this series is how one of the characters seems so useless in the end for the plot to go a certain way! (just my opinion)

The ending was fine tho!

Parasyte is a nice one, off course I have it complete biggrin

Akira is noted

The others seems to be out of print or unavailable for me.
More please? I've added more genres.

Where are you able to order from? 3 of the 4 series I suggested are available on The Book Depository, which ships internationally... (All but Tekkonkinkreet, which is available on RightStuf.)

Given that none my suggestions are out of print in the U.S., it will be hard to determine what's available to you without knowing where you can buy manga.

I can only buy manga from the following publishers:
- Viz
- Seven Seas
- Yen Press
- Digital Manga Publishing
- Tokyopop (only one volume is in print)
- Kodansha USA
- Vertical
- Dark Horse
- Drawn & Quarterly

I live in Europe.

Tekkonkinkreet = out of print
I've found NonNonBa, also Noted

Cage Of Eden was indeed a letdown...
Not a satisfactory ending... dead dead

I think you should try reading Rave Master I've recently done reading it...it's Good...and author is Hiro Mashima...

Oh...even though it's not finished...the best deal at the moment(for me) is “Highschool Of The Dead (full color edition)”...[4 vol. Color 700+ pages 60$ from Amazon]...

PM me if you did bought it...^^
