Hi!
I'm looking for a romance where one of the MC isn't human but some kind of monster. I don't want demon lords/princes and such but an ordinary non-human. One with no influence whatsoever in the world or overly powerful. Remember how the Beast was royalty but all he had to show for it was an abandoned, rundown castle? Like that. Emphasis on ordinary. No otherworldly detectives, evil lords, royalty, nothing special. They just... happen to be non-human. They could be cursed humans, but then I rather not find out at the beginning, same goes for shapeshifters. I'd rather the non-human was a bit of a hermit.

I'd rather the manga have a magical realism feel to it, but this is not something I'm very picky about. Oh, and I don't care if they look humanoid or like complete monsters.

Does anyone have read something like this?

It's kinda brutal... but there's Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou . I liked it, though I can see why many don't and it could've been better.
