I've been reading shoujo for like a half of my life now and trust me (i have the seen the bad and the best)

since my list is running out i go to raffmanga and just read all the raws there
i am in need of a romance manga that has an
-intriguing plot (something out pf the ordinary)
-cool and funny characters
-something that is not cliche

it could be fantasy/tragedy/comedy

A) If you had a public list. This will help with not suggesting the many titles you probably read. (It'll prevent the "Oh, I already read that but thanks for trying to help".)

B) Have you tried maybe looking to another genre, like Shounen for example.
There's manga that seem like shoujo, but aren't. Best example I know is Horimiya

C)Additional things would be useful like, your dislikes, and more of what you like. (maybe examples of what you love, if you prefer completed or ongoing series , longer series or short ones, etc. ) Otherwise you'll probably get "Do a search yourself" since your request is so broad/non specific.
Feel free to edit your opening post, and create a public list. It'll really help.

Bit more of a GUROmance, with the girl killing people and all... still an awesome and heartbreaking read.
Chobits was a decent read as well, though I didn't care much for the dynamics of their relationship. There's an image of the female lead in the banner, BTW. It's the chick with the strange ears.
I haven't read much romance lately because these fictional relationships always seem more exciting than those I have/had in real life and it makes me depressed or feel old (which, in turn, makes me depressed!)

Like educational manga? take a look at Ed U. Manga's list of manga here

- Byousoku 5 Centimeter this one leaves a bitter aftertaste though
- Bonnouji while this one makes you warm

- Horimiya nothing special but I love the feeling so much
- Nozoki Ana if you look at the reviews you can see I'm obsessed with the review "the feelings really bled on pages", and I hardly rate/comment
