as the name states
i'm in dire need of good shoujo (ones that are practically so AWESOME and the kind where it forever changed your life)

anything that is just lighthearted w/o all those insane drama. and just having this sweet romantic comedy vibe

-I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE WORKS OF Nakahara Aya Takano Ichigo Akizuki Sorata Ogura Akane

-maybe something like horimiya/saruyama/lovely complex (for comedy) or the same feels with hana-kun to koisuru watashi

-preferably i'm looking for newer ones like those at raffmanga (all were nice but i don't know which to pick)

name it and i'll try to read it

biggrin

Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume
Beauty Pop
Arakure
Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Bu
SA

All these aren't too heavy on drama and range from light comedy to super hilarious comedy (in no particular order). Have fun reading biggrin

i second Beauty Pop that one is one of my favorite comedy romances

and if you want comedy my number one suggestion would be Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, i have almost died from reading this, the only draw back is that the romance is progressing very slowly. and this one has an ongoing anime right now that is very well done! so check it out if your interested.

I'm a sucker for odd-couple high-school romance stories and I'm following a new(ish) one called Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki about a tall girl, the Fujiyama-san of the title and Kanba-kun the short classmate who's fallen for her. It's sweet and quite funny as the two of them grapple with growing up and growing together. Nice slightly off-the-wall art style which also appeals to me.

Another light comedy/romance I've enjoyed is Sasameki Koto. Yes it's yuri but it's funny as heck, another odd-couple high-school romance. It's had an anime as well although it got nowhere near the end of the manga.

Life-changing is a pretty tall order! laugh

Here's a couple I like without too much drama. Most long series either have drama come into it, or if they don't the series just remains silly without going anywhere.
Beauty is the Beast
Adarushan no Hanayome
Hana ni Arashi (TAKAGI Shigeyoshi) - just re-read this, it's pretty light, but gets really serious even in 2 vol.
Boku ni Natta Watashi
Atsu Atsu Trattoria
Ou-sama no Shichiya

I'm sorry I'm always doing this. Your example Horimiya is shounen, and so is the suggestion Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki is seinen, and Sasameki Koto is probably as well, as it is published in a magazine for men.

But if you didn't really mean that you only wanted shoujo, try this one, it's just adorable - Goshimei desu!

Yugami-kun ni wa Tomodachi ga Inai
Atashi no Banbi? Been awhile since I read it. I don't recall any big drama.
Past Future Not romance, but very cute
Wa! (KOJIMA Akira)!!

Anything by YAMAKAWA Aiji, which I recommend:
Stand Up! (YAMAKAWA Aiji)
Yajirobee
Tomodachi no Hanashi

Thanks for mentioning this one... It's great to come across something new and awesome every once in a while even when you feel like you've exhausted everything. Looks like releases have only started recently and that's why I've never heard of it...

Minami Maki is my favourite mangaka for light romantic comedy - Special A is my favourite. I'm unsure if we have similar tastes though.
