I sword fighting or martial arts manga that has more than 10 chapters. The kind of manga I am looking for has some kind of Samurai or something similar in it and plenty of action as well. I prefer a male main character because it fits this kind of story better. The story can be of any demographic as long as it is not a romance manga. AND NO WEB COMICS I THINK PEOPLE WHO MAKE THEM ARE REALLY LAZY AND PUT IN NO EFFORT.
Something like
Brave 10
Shinsengumi Imon Peace Maker
Kurogane
Rurouni Kenshin

As you can see most of these are older series can someone find something a little newer like 2000 or later would be good.

none of the suggestions are what I am looking for and some are just way to old I don't to read things that are from the 70s or earlier manga made in the 90s are fine though. I want a good more recent sword fighting or martial arts historical story please. dead no confused

House of Five Leaves (2005) The manga hasn't been scanlated but there is an anime and AFAIK it covers the whole manga.

Laughter from the Clouds (2011)

Zanbara! (2007)

Getsumei (2003)

Shigurui (2003)

Other recs that differ a little from what you wanted but you might be interested in :

Sengoku Youko (2008) It is based in fantasy world but the protagonist is a samurai and it has good action.

Ichi (2008) Female protagonist but I found it relatively good, a different take on the Zatoichi (blind swordsman) theme

Until Death Do Us Part (2005) Another Zatoichi-like manga but with a modern setting. Some great action scenes.

Lazy and put no effort? I think the only reason you think like that is because you haven't read any good webcomic. Just because it's different than manga, it doesn't mean it requires less effort or that it's of worse quality. It's the same with older manga. Manga today would be nothing without the jewels of the past. But oh well, if you want newer stuff, then we shall try and give you newer stuff.

I second Donten ni Warau, it's very good. It has action and good character development, which is a hard to find combination.

And what about Drifters? I've never read it past the first chapter, but it seems to fit what you're looking for.

I don't know why you turned down Vagabond and Sidooh, both are historical and pretty good. None of them are that old, either.

I'm quite reluctant, but maybe you could try Mugen no Juunin. It's sort of historical (the author didn't care too much about history, but the setting is historical) and it has some quite badass fighting scenes, although the story is, in my opinion, far from memorable... Specially towards the ending. Anyway, it's kind of old but not that much.

Ah, almost forgot about Izayakaku. I remember it being quite good, but it hasn't had any releases for a while so maybe that will be a turnoff for you.

Well, that is all I have to offer right now. Remember you can always try searching with the "Samurai" tag. Good luck.

I second Ichi, Vagabond and Donten ni Warau. All three are amazing mangas.

As far as old mangas go some of them are amazing. The art style does take some time to get used to but once you get past that it opens you up to a whole new world of awesome.

(If you do decide to try something older, Basara is an amazing choice. Though it does have some romance it has lots of sword fighting and amazing memorable characters.)

Yeah, I don't know why you turned down Sidooh especially since it came out in 2005 and seems to be what you're looking for.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The two mains end up working with the Shinsengumi, though I haven't seen if they join.

Also, Gamaran, Saraiya Goyou, and Takemitsu Zamurai began in the 2000's; Vagabond and Mugen no Juunin in the 90's. Is there a particular art style you're looking for?

As for recommendations:

Samurai Deeper Kyo published in 1999, has a lot of action and very shounen.

Samurai Drive Modern samurai and shoujo so all the guys are bishounen.

I second Drifters though there's really only one samurai and it is action packed, but there's also a lot mystery.
