I became a member just to ask this question, because I can't find what exactly I'm looking for anywhere. Help would be so appreciated.

I was just wondering if there are any more manga love triangles like the main one in Inuyasha. Specifically where the original, and reincarnation of the original, love the same person. As in, the original and reincarnated know of one another and love the same person.

I guess I love this triangle so much because it does bring that one question to mind: "Does he love one because she reminds him of the other?" I mean, to me, when you think about it, it opens up into a very psychological way of thinking. I just loved that sort of thinking when reading Inuyasha.
Please no Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Lolicon or anything like that. I'd also love if it was more mature, but not a must. As long as the characters don't drive me crazy with their stupidity, or even just showing character growth as the story goes on, I'd love it. Please girl/boy/girl triangle. Thank you!

After years of lurking around reading recommendations, I finally stopped being lazy and joined!

Welll... that situation is kind of unique. Because it actually doesn't really make sense for two incarnations of the same person to exist at the same time. I don't remember how it was explained in Inuyasha, that Kikyo manages to exist on just a piece of the soul or what, but... it's not to be expected you'd find that in another manga.

If you're okay with something not exactly like that, but with an element of "Does he love one because she reminds him of the other?" ...I'm sure there are various examples.

That's a difficult request. The closest I can think of is Crazy Girl Shin Bia, in which a priestess dies and pulls her future reincarnation back to the past in order to take her place. As with Kagome and Kikyo, they have vastly different personalities, so the question of whether the guy loves the reincarnation for herself or because she looks just like his previous lover is prominent. The two women are never actually alive at the same time though, so the guy never has to choose between them. I'll also warn that I personally did not like this manga - most of the characters have the personalities of rocks.

You could also try looking through parallel universe or time travel material, but I don't know of any stories myself.

Thanks for the suggestions. I figured there wasn't much, but I was hoping.

I tend to like more mature manga, but I've slowed down in reading it over the years. Not much in terms of believable characters acting realistic. I agree, I do think some of the personalities in Inuyasha are cliche, but as far as 'person in another world', I do like that it keeps my interest.

Kinda sorta seconding Bride of the Water God.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The first love triangle isn't 100% what you want--but the second is.

Also, NG Life poses a similar psychological question as the one you claimed to like in your intro post (just the other way around), although it's nothing like what you wanted story-wise, so I'll recommend that, too just in case.

Okay, was a while since I read it so I might be remembering wrong. But I think something similar goes on in Ashita Dorobou.
