Basically borderline BL with a good plot where the relationship of the protagonists is not a central plot point but rather adds to the story...
If possible something completed and it should have fairly good art. I don't mind reading raws in Japanese but I prefer English please.

Can also be a novel if it's been translated!

Karneval and Kuroshitsuji come to mind. Some might also say Natsume Yuujinchou but I think it's bit forced; it's only there if you look for it

For scifi, I can recommend The Flat Earth Exchange and Jihai. They're not online, but all the volumes have been printed in English, and they're still pretty cheap in the used market. You might also be interested in the BL Subtext tag.

Golden Days? It's unrequited, though (from what I've read of it).
