I absolutely LOVED Mushishi, as someone put it Well;
"Mushishi is one of those strange, special shows that seem to just emerge confident and fully constructed, exude excellence for all of their running time, and then go quietly on their way. Its vignettes are dreamy and ambiguous, full of resonance and compelling ideas but never didactic. Its world is mysterious and enchanting, evoking both a more resigned and possibly more dangerous version of Miyazaki’s mystical forests. Its production is fantastic, with beautiful backgrounds matching a wonderfully understated musical score and a great sense of pacing to conjure its powerful, singular atmosphere. And all this works in service of a show that’s fundamentally just incredibly calming and sedate – a series of long, lazy afternoons spent enjoying the company of a master storyteller."
Personally, I think Mushishi is one of those rare Anime that comes as near to perfect as possible. Another person likened it to the "Grim Tales" (the actual Grim tales, not the TV show) of Anime. Unfortunately, They are not putting out episodes much now, there is supposedly still a few episodes in Season 2, but its been months since anything new.
Does anyone know of anything Similar, something thats got the same "Feel" to it? Preferably,I want something that stays revolving around a main character, Like Mushishi does, even if the episodes themselves are standalone.

Natsume Yuujinchou definitely for the thematic similarities.
But for the overall ambience I'd suggest :
Omoide Emanon
YKK
Aria Although it's more shounen focused
If you don't mind some action too, you could also check Kiss Wood which is also similar to Mushishi in its dreamlike worlbuilding, relatively slow pace, focus on nature/environmental themes and mature plot/characters.

i have not watched it or read it myself but i have heard that a lot of people think mushishi is similar to Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World. it is based off the novel Kino no Tabi - The Beautiful World (Novel).
and i very strongly second both Natsume Yuujinchou and Kiss Wood

Thanks, I'll have to check um out. And if you've not watched Mushishi yet, I highly recommend it. The English Voice acting in season 1 is pretty good as well.

Since someone mentioned Omoide Emanon, how about Fushigi na Shounen?
Petshop of Horrors might fit somewhat.
Try looking for episodic or interconnected episodic.

I think Hyakki Yakoushou is right up your alley! It's not as dreamy as Mushishi but its similar in genre.
