There a specific manga I read started reading back in high school (2004-2008 approx), about a nerdy/outcast girl who gets either rejected by some guy or made fun of by some girls, but rather than feel sorry for herself, she goes "eff it" and between school years (changes schools from middle/high school?) gives herself a makeover. Suddenly she's one of the "cool girls" and the story's kind of just how she navigates that.

Only read the first volume or two, but I also remember there was this one chapter where she started getting bullied by some other nerdy girls and when she confronted them, they were all like "YOU WERE BORN BEAUTIFUL~~~~ YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND~~~~" and she was like, "no actually. i effing do."

Looked in the makeovers category, didn't see anything. Don't know how else to search for it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, that'd be awesome.
