It´s exactly what the title says... I only completed until now horror mangas from Junji ito and wanted to read something that was a little different for a change... More specifically, I wanted something that was more psychological and that would challenge my perspectives a little more, but without being too much boring. When reading through Junji Ito horror works it never felt boring or slow paced like some comics I completed before, and I wanted something that brought that feeling again while reading a specific manga, something that makes me think twice about life and that is entertaining all the way through...

Also, I want to read only works that are already completed, and not anything that is still being released... So... What do you recommendconfused

And yes Injo too.
Berserk is pretty deep and filled with horror.

There's a lot of good psychological manga out there, these are some good ones that quickly come to mind:

Can You Hear Me?
Music of Marie
Holyland
ES
Freesia
Alive: The Final Evolution
Bokurano
Eden - It's an Endless World!
Doctor Du Ming

All of these are complete. They vary in length, some are only one volume while some are much longer. Some also have more action than others. I also second all the other recommendations that have been mentioned.

Hope you check them out and find some you enjoy.

I forgot Parasyte and it´s current anime. One of the few perfect mangas i have read. The author is a beast with mind-games. The last chapter could be my favourite ending ever.

I second Oyasumi Punpun in particular, there are a lot of other good suggestions too.

Some others -

Aku no Hana
River's Edge
Shi ni Itaru Yamai
Monster
Planetes - this one is more slice-of-life psychological, not dark.
Uncivilized Planet - lots of rape and violence, but extremely good in its psychological elements if you can tolerate the nasty stuff

Punpun´s ending i very hm by the way. Homunculus is way better the it should have been.
Matsumoto Jiro is hard to recommend but i read his stuff for some reason. So who knows ? Maybe you will like him more.

Homunculus doesn't live up to its beginning/potential imo, I'd recommend Koroshiya 1 by the same author.

Second MATSUMOTO Jiro with Freesia and Yuretsuzukeru. MORI Kouji's works are amazing too, only Holyland is complete but you may wanna check out Jisatsutou

Since you say you're new, maybe it's possible that you haven't read 20 Seiki Shounen and Monster? I'd recommend anything by URASAWA Naoki, but these are must-read.

MARUO Suehiro though I'm not sure if his works can be considered psychological, maybe FURUYA Usamaru with [m] Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku[/m] that ThirySixChambers recommended would be a better start biggrin

Is Dorohedoro psychological ? If not it ´s still at leat a 9/10.
I only "liked" Koroshiya 1´s ova and the very first manga that it was based on. The movie and the longt form manga are "something" to behold for shure ?!?
Melo Holic is alright but Superior Day is the better series from the team.
You shure have a lot to try out now and my final suggestion is ES. I reread the manga just now and it is even better then i remembered.
