Hello, romance sucker is here again. Looking for a manga which has strong theme of love and friendship. And since this basic concept has already been overused, lets get a lil bit into detail:

1. Two guys liking the same girl. But these guys should be intimate - no homo (best buddy, childhood friends, oath/sworn brothers, etc). And MC is one of those two guys, or the heroine is not the main protagonist.
2. Variation of #1: MC's crush is liking his buddy. And yes, not another way around.
3. Hetero friendship which turned into love. Again, I know this concept been overused, but I've barely seen those in which the hero and heroine are/already in the comfortable "friendship" zone and one of them (preferably the male) should make a call whether they'll go further or just stay in their comfort-zone. Few examples are: Amagami Kaoru arc, when both Kaoru and Yuuichi are already close and comfortable with each other and they're wondering if it was necessary to change their relationship, even after the "official dating" thing they're still wondering if the change was actually worth anything since their dynamics are still pretty much the same. Another example is Koitabi True Tours Nanto 2nd arc told about two childhood friends.

The bottom line is MC (Male) should make a call whether he would choose his friendship or his love. And yes, limited to hetero-only and male MC only. Sorry if it sounds sexist. I never meant that. Its only because I've seen lots of female on female friendship (And/or shojo in general). And no gender bent! Gender bender only allowed if the one who got bent (mostly protag) didn't get any identity crisis as opposed to Boku Girl or Idol Pretender. I only remember a manga (possibly a oneshot) which did it right (I mean, like what I've requested) when the boy got cursed to become a girl and he almost got NTR'd. And his crush is his childhood friend (I forgot the name, sorry for long exposition).

So, any idea? eyes

Katakoi triangle
Um this one is very love triangley, it's not entirely told from the guy's point of view though, cause it changes perspective alot. Oh, but the two main guys are pretty close friends, so that's a plus right?

If I'm left with nothing, I would try out advanced genre search, include some categories here and there...

You know about this, I assume. http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?act=genresearch Now, throw out genres you don't like and throw in what you like. Then, under categories, I suggest typing in: Friends Become Enemies, Friends Become Lovers, Friends Grow Distant, Friendship, Love Polygon, Love Rival, Love Triangle, Best Friends...

But yeah... That would pretty much spoil everything. laugh Lame idea... dead

Not an easy task, let's see...

Ore ga Doutei o Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite has quite an interesting twist on two male friends and a girl.
In Uwagaki the main character unwittingly befriends his rival.
G Senjou Heaven's Door features two main male characters in a weird friendship getting involved with a girl

For the third scenario, here are some manga that can fit more or less:
14-sai no Koi About two long-time friends who experience dating for the first time.
Horimiya We witness the two main characters knowing each other and become comfortable with each other as friends, before romance takes place.
Bocchi na Bokura no Renai Jijou Kind of the same situation, but less developed.
Tonari no Kashiwagi-san is still at the "just friends part" (since forever), because the girl struggles in seeing the possibility of an actual relationship (according to her they are "more than friends, less than lovers")
Gin no Saji has the couple become friends first and then...stay friends because of a death threat (it makes sense in context, and it's quite hilarious)
Both the MCs of Boku Koi Conductor and Sakurasaku Syndrome have to deal with the "comfort zone" problem; it doesn't help that the girls like other people; the plot of these two is basically the same, with the first going more for the comedy and the second for the drama
Ginen Shounen features two childhood friends being comfortable with each other, like the first arc of Kimikiss - Various Heroines (but this one has not much of character depth)

How about oneshots?
Check out Joyful Days? for a friendzone story XD

...Aaand I can't think of anything else, sorry. Well, I tried smile
