Hello everyone,
I'm chiyako92, founder and admin of MANGALAND, an Italian scanlation team that sometimes provides projects in English, too.

The next manga we are goingo to release in both languages is Shoujo Kesshou Kokoro Jikaru. I'll be the one in charge for translation and editing of the Italian version, but, since I'm a bit busy, I'd like some help for the English version.

The best option would be finding one person (possibily an English native speaker) who can retranslate my translation from Italian to English, and another person who can edit the chapters.
If this is not possible, I can retranslate myself the chapters, but someone will have to check my English (grammar errors, spelling, etc.), and I'm still lacking an editor.

Should you have doubts, I'll clear them out. Just PM me or reply below.

Thanks!

Bump.

Forget about translator, we only need an editor. (who will probably have to do everything, from cleaning to typesetting)

I am interested in the editing position but it will be up to you if you will accept me. Honestly I haven't worked on any projects yet so I'm inexperienced.
I'm a Native English speaker so I can serve as an editor (cleaner to typesetter) and have a good amount of time on my hands. I will be able to pick up on the process very quickly- I also have the minimum requirement (photoshop) and a graphics tablet so if there is a need to do redraws, I will be able to do so.

Hello everyone. This is not really a proper recruiting; let's say I'm searching a translator just for a couple of sentences. biggrin
I'm translating a manga, but I can't figure out the meaning of two lines. Please help me.

The story before (briefly)
A 13-year-old girl named Tsubasa studies violin with a famous teacher and is very talented. The teacher chose her and a male student, Ichijou, for an important music contest. Even though they will be opponents, Tsubasa and Ichijou agreed to help each other. For the contest, they will have to play violin accompanied by a piano, which will be played by Jin, a rude guy who likes teasing Tsubasa. Jin previously told her that, in his opinion, Ichijou agreed to help Tsubasa because he doesn't consider her a valid opponent. When he was asked to try playing violin along with Jin, Ichijou immediately succeeded, while Tsubasa did a total mess. She eventually managed to succeed, even if no one knows yet.

After having succeeded in playing together, Tsubasa and Jin hasten to the music lesson. When they arrive, Jin tells Tsubasa:
だいたい一条は もう本番まえの 合わせだけにな ってんのに
おまえが うまくできない からつきあって やってるんだぞ

What does this mean? I haven't had problems before with this series and now I can't figure out the meaning. confused
If someone wants to give a try and be our "translator for a minute", please message me. You'll obviously be credited. Cheers.
