I am askign about a manga where this factor is relatively important, the thing is that there must be a character name that is passed around people. preferably the name and just just a simple count-like title, as examples of what I mean:
in akb0048 the characters have their real names, but once they becoem real part of the group they inherit the name of a now former member, so X is takamina, but then that takamina steps down and Y becomes the new takamina. there's something similar to that in saint seiya with aldebaran which seems to be a name but much alter in the plot we learn that it is a title that gets passed down.
I think there is a lot of manga with regular title passing like garo,etc..so I guess what would make the trope more unique is the title being inherited along with the name or w0orking more like an actual name.

Since you mentioned Saint Seiya, curiously in the franchise or at least in the Lost Canvas universe, Aldebaran is not the only inherited name.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It's implied all 3 judges names (Aiacos, Minos and Radamanthys) are also inherited in most or every holy war era. Some may also have been former saints of Athena in previous generations, as it is probably the case with Aiacos/Suikyo and Kagaho.

I'm pretty sure I've seen other series with the inheriting of names or titles before, but unfortunately I can't remember any right now.

I'm not sure what you want specifically in terms of subject matter, but there is name inheritance in kabuki, so that should hold true for manga about it. I don't read any myself, but I know they're out there.

thanks, I'll check those manga (arachnid and kabuki). I did not know that those other guys also inherited in saint seiya, that's cool.

I Think you would like Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken every part folows a certain charachter called JoJo the First part being Jonathan Joestar second , Joseph Joestar etc. and every part follows one bloodline in a long line of time.
