Adult female college student with zero interest in romance and a very drama-free lifestyle, so... Josei + slice-of-life + school-life. (Does that kind of combination exist, though? I've never seen a school-life/slice-of-life josei without drama and romance...)

Okay, let's analyze the possibilities (from a male's point of view)

Shoujo: Don't really have much knowledge on shoujo. Maybe put into random female fanservice character, or even a small chance of being stuck trying to compete for a single woman with a bunch of way more attractive/smart/rich/etc guys.

Shounen: Probably relegated to supporting character role. Would be lucky to get a few lines. Probably be one of the background characters who get jealous at the MC having a harem in rom-coms or one of the random civilians that get hurt/killed when enemies attack. Faceless mook also possible. On the 1% chance that you become MC, life is eternal blueballing with fanservice scenes happening everywhere but you not being able to react to it. Also small chance of being fairly cool wingman bro. Worst case scenario: Be the comedic relief or killed as a plot device to motivate protagonist.

Josei: No clue

Seinen: Probably dead. If not in an action manga, then there's a possibility of being an actual fairly okay/normal guy. Worst case scenario: Being tortured gruesomely.

Hentai: High chance of being NTR'd/watching the MCs get it on with each other. Life is suffering. On the other hand, there's also a good chance of being faceless character A which might be pretty fun. Small chance of wandering into antique story/magical plot devices/etc. Worst case scenario: I don't even want to think about it. Just nope.

Yaoi: Plz no.

Yuri: Probably either gay or female. Worst case: Relationship drama.


Man, it must suck not being super attractive/kind/intelligent/cool/having super-special bloodline/be super lucky/having MC traits in a manga. Well, the seinen and josei may be pretty okay if it's not an action one though. Worst would definitely be yaoi, yuri, and shounen though. If you're super lucky though, hentai or Seinen/Josei would probably be the best demographics to live in.

Seinen: Golgo 13 - Too dry, too deadly, too many prostitutes.

Does anyone have the numbers for the other 3 as thy did not reach the magic 20 mil. it seems?
OMG Sailor Moon is not the best selling girls manga ever? How did i not notice this as I look at all sort of sales charts weekly. I have disgraced my family.
Edit: I just gave Sazae-san Josei and have updated it so i hope wiki is not wrong as google-san agrees too and it is about feminism. It will also be the longest running anime till the earth dies but the stip ended in the 70s. Interesting. It is bigger the One Piece in a way too but i knew this.
Episode count: 7181+ !!! My future life will be long and author Machiko Hasegawa was a quality act it seems.

Background Character E in a seinen slice of life.

Wow, so many people want to live in a seinen world? I wonder why. And I sincerely hope people don't say something immature like, "a seinen world is just like the real world" cause most of them seriously aren't.

It's a difference in how you interpret the poll. If your life was a manga, which demographic would it be, or: if you could live in a manga, which demographic would it be?

Age wise I've picked Josei but having zero interest in romance it does not really fit. This poll is kinda pointless because all the demographics are stereotyped if I could pick a nice option it would be a mmorpg game world option like LMS or such ;p

well, since the second posible interpretation was kinda asked before, Im answering according to the first posible one you mentioned, considering my life just as it is.

I think it would be josei, slice of life, though my life doesn't revolve around romance at all, as most joseis. Either way, it's the closest one... college, friends, work, and I'm female... though I don't go to nearby bars and end up wasted.

If the question is asking were I would want to be, I am male, perverted and a gambler so I would want to be in hentai. If the question is asking what my life would be classified as, I guess I would be some background character in just about any genre.

It's pretty hard to differentiate between slice of life Seinen and slice of life Josei, there just more of an emphasis on romance in most Josei (there's still romance in most Seinen). Though I'll probably go with Josei, it's more likely that females would want to read about my life than males.

Aside: I am really surprised that Orange (TAKANO Ichigo) is Seinen.

I knew that a version of this would come soon so @mikako17 it is.
Orange (TAKANO Ichigo) is now seinen and Re Collection from the get go so the magazine in question can widen it´s demographic. Let´s say some teen girls hears of this manga in japan and wants to keep up now. Cool but she will need to pick up this "adult man" magazine now. Money in the bank! Manga Action is a reasonably calm and clean btw.
Just open up a random manga anthology and you will no doubt see "inappropriate" series like Husk Eden (for teen girl?), Noragami (for teen boys?), Sachiare! (porn?), Ultimate Muscle - The Kinnikuman Legacy (ran in Playboy) and so on.
Look at Batman: The Child of Dreams (seinen) / Batman: Death Mask (shonen) but who knows why besides the magazine (this is how you tag).
I deliberately chose "clean" manga to not derail this and is also why i went esoteric with my answer as cross-demographic appeal is everything and "true seinen" only lives i my head. Has anyone seen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Maguire.
