I was thinking that along with being able to keep track of what volume and chapter number your on in a particular series, there could also be something that lets you keep track of the page number of a chapter. That way if your reading a really long chapter and cant finish it in one sitting you could keep track of the page you were on.

There's different ways... I'm guessing your talking about doing this on an online manga viewer... You could set up a Chart on Microsoft Word on which manga you're reading on what volume, on what chapter, and you could even do page.... <_< it would take a fraction of your time... that or write it down on a scap piece of paper...
For Paper Back, I myself have a Catalog for all my manga... and a bookmark if somehow I can't manage to read a volume in one sitting... (never happened yet) There's ways... You just have to take the time to do it yourself instead of relying on others...

I don't think having a page tracker is necessary or worth it. One page from one group might be different from another page from another group. Some may title the file according to the original tank/raw, others may just start from 0 (from the cover) onwards. When that happens which would you go for when you track multiple groups that does the same manga?.
