Yet another series that has lost all translators. Yen Press locked this series up and has hit every site carrying a fans translated chapter with a take down notice. Seeing as there is 17 volumes already out, there is no way that it will be finished by Yen Press in anyone's lifetime.

While I'm disappointed I will have to wait a long time for this series to be caught up, I'm also glad that they decided to pick it up. The more they pick up the more will get translated. Rather than rely on fan-made translations, go out and buy it in stores. The greater the interest the faster they will translate it.

Don't worry guys, it'll only take 5/6 years before we get to actually read it again! Maybe I should try and learn Japanese.

Yeah, that's the good and bad. I'm glad it's licenses, it helps the author make more money and the industry grow. But I'm sad it takes so long to get it translated. I would hope that eventually they'll start translating the ones the scanlators left off on and simultaneously start translating from volume one.

They recently also did No Game No Life, which I think is worth a reread so I have the 3 volumes on Amazon preorder. I'll just think of it as the opportunity to reread it.

It's nothing like this one though with 15 volumes. Hopefully I won't forget it exist by then.

normally I dont mind when someone like Viz picks up a license because they understand that the longer they take to translate a series the more interest for it dies off. Naruto averaged 1volume every 1-2 months with redraws, translations etc until it caught up with the Japanese raws. Yen press is known for licensing series, shutting down scanlators with DCMA's then they take a year to get the first volume out and only release a volume once every 3-4 months. They killed DanMachi that way and the way they're going, they're going to kill this series too.

If they have a dozen translators working 40 hour work weeks they should be able to translate 50-100 volumes a month easily. If they do 2 translation passes it should be about 60 volumes a month. Add in a dozen proofreaders/editors to go over their work, and time for printing and that stuff they could easily be pumping out 6-9 volumes of every series every year or until they catch up.
