That's so sad my favourite LN it should have gone on for at least couple more volume. Oh well all good things have to come to an end one day i guess .

You guys do know that the author is going to post additional side stories 1 - 2 times a month from now on that shows stuff that happened in the current timeline and additional side stories in the published LN?

More importantly, from what is said in the afterword and the author's blog, there's a highly likely chance for there to be a sequel to the series. Some people are even interpreting the author's words to be that Mushoku Tensei is like "The Hobbit" to the Lord of the Rings Trilogy though I'm not sure about that.

How sad? On a level of 1 to 10 so I can prepare myself for it since I don't like super sad/dark endings.

I actulley disagree with many posters on this thread, i hated the MC so much, i was amazed how i could have read 213 chapters with that pervert.
I freaking hate Harems and Sleezey Authors With their bad way of showing us how the entire serie is almost built on a harem and building this MC to some sort of a "Hero"

i would strongly recommend that you do NOT read this to anyone, who dislikes Harem or Loli content.

it's a 3/10 for me

I hate loli as well ,but for some reason i did not mind it here since its all text and i can imagine how they look. I think of the lolis as short girls thats it , I'm 194 cm tall and all the girls i've been with have been much shorter than me so it might be the reason i can cope with the lolis here. As for the harem can't help you there i love it !

I am not a fan of the manga and gave up on that version after awarding it with a 4/10.
The surprisingly entertaining Re:Monster does exist after all (care to read my review?) and will need to fill my childish male power fantasy craving. Seinen right .

I do have one equation though. Does this novel actually have "Group Intercourse (12,13)" in it? Wikia couldn´t help he so...
(The endless loli discussion in the reviews is pretty hilarious too.)

This thread is about the end of the series not about your opinion on it. So to get back on track and to ask a question how sad is the end?



I don't like sad or depressing things but since I have read it this far will need to finish it even if it has a sad end. So to prepare and brace myself I would like to know how sad it is, and if possible a comparison to another series would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

If you want my opinion on the sadness of the ending on a scale of 1-10(10 being Clannad/Tomoyo After), I would say it's a 1...

I think some people are confusing the feeling of being sad because a story you like is ending and being sad because of the story...

Thanks Amuris. I'm glad to hear it is not as sad as Clannad/Tomoyo After and am glad that people are only sad over it ending, not because of how it ends. Also, I just want to check what a 1 would be. Is it something like (the series ends on a good note but leaves you wanting more)?

I can agree with that (Not the reasoning, at least not all of the reasoning). It's why I stopped reading. The beginning chapters were fun to read but it just gets meh as it went along. A bit into the school parts it just gets dull.
