Recently (2Year time period ) I have come to notice that alot of scanlators have gone the route of being anti manga readers l.e (manga tank) i want to know why is that? I mean to say that for the most part they dont remove credit pages or other indicators that a group did the work so why is there such a negative feedback for them? if any thing they made the name for some groups. But with out takeing sides could i get an answer from some of the active scanlator groups out there? But before any questions are asked on my knowledge of the scanlation process i know how hard it is to complete it. I was once part of frankyhouse scanlation before our site was seized by uiz and dark horse publications though the mucrapium act. (vivant domus praedonum!!!,,, long live the house of pirates !!!)

1. Most MRs reduce the quality of the pages to save on bandwidth/space.
2. They often add their own watermarks to the works done by the scanlators.
3. They don't give two sh*ts about the upload delay periods, thus stealing the early release traffic from the scanlators' websites.
4. They make the scanlations too easily reachable, raising the probability of the scanlators getting a DMCA Notice/C&D letter.
That's about it, really.

Being the lazy person that I am, I'm not likely to accept anything long-term though.

Also since manga reader sites usually profit off of traffic via ads some groups may not like that others are profiting from their work that they are doing for free (Sura's Place for example has a no re-hosting policy because she does not want anyone making a profit from her scanlations)

First thank you for your replys second ''They make the scanlations too easily reachable, raising the probability of the scanlators getting a DMCA Notice/C&D letter'' i know about that dark horse took us down (frankyhouse) but this is why after the 07 site raids most groups were moved to the irc like any content made free and pure its bound to happen but thats part of our jobs we sometimes have to let go. Also ''They often add their own watermarks to the works done by the scanlators.'' that i know for sure they shouldn't do and i think nine out of ten times that pisses off goups more
