There are plenty of manga about traditional performance art and literature out there, but does anyone know if there's manga about traditional visual arts? I'll define it to include crafts because there might not be much. I'd like anything from famous artist biographies, Buddhist carving, sutras, cloth-dying and textile-working, paper-working, architecture, conservation and cultural heritage, and all manners of painting, scrolls, screens, and much more because it would take a long time to write an exhaustive list.
Nothing about art schools unless they are specifically about pre-1900 methods, which would normally be taught in apprenticeships, anyway. I'll take anything up through Gutai, ca. 1950s (not that I'd call it a traditional movement lol)
