This week's poll is again from icassop. If you went to karaoke, what type of song would you choose to sing? This is regardless of whether you've actually gone before in the past.

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: If there was a manga cafe near you, would you visit it?
Choices:
Lots of times, mainly for the manga - votes: 3500 (36.9%)
Lots of times, mainly for the Internet - votes: 195 (2.1%)
Lots of times, mainly for the food / drinks - votes: 291 (3.1%)
Lots of times, mainly for socializing - votes: 612 (6.5%)
I guess I'd try it once... - votes: 4101 (43.2%)
Never - votes: 784 (8.3%)
There were 9483 total votes.
The poll ended: May 2nd 2015

Figures, for a manga site

I have no idea, tbh. I'm not big on public humiliation.
Probably a western song I can understand the lyrics to.

There are a lot of ways to describe what I think about singing anime songs in any setting, many would probably offend people. Overall, it's just freaking weird. I'd pick Western songs and I'd only sing if I were drunk.

Hmm.. Mostly Asian songs (preferably Korean or Japanese songs), but we also sings Western songs and local songs (in our language). Unfortunately there're not so many anime songs so I can't sing it. TTwTT I want to sing them so badly (especially amazarashi - Kisetsu wa Tsugitsugi Shindeiku) TTwTT

Where is the 'not going to karaoke' option? Never ever I would go to karaoke, cause my singing is horrible. People would leave the place immediately in pain. dead

If I somehow because of my unfortunate fate end up going to a Karaoke with my friends...I will choose “Mostly Western songs”...
So, I would rather like to pick up something that all of up can sing together...^^

Western songs, no doubt. I mean seriously, the only time I would sing anime songs would be if the entire group did it, for giggles.

Otherwise it would just be awful and out of place. Anime songs should be sung by people who can sing them well, otherwise they just hurt my ears... dead laugh

Mainly western or something in my language.
Most of karaoke in my place didn't have japanese song except several really popular one (Kokoro no Tomo, AKB song). It does feel kinda strange when someone choose to sing AKB48 song. I think singing anime song in my country is perfectly normal, as long as it is already known in my country (Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Cooking Master Boy theme song). Singing something like Eva song might be too much though.

Where's the option for all of them? lol I like anime, western and asian songs..
But I guess it depends with who I go with anyway.
If it's work friends, only western songs, because I'm not up to explaining wth I'm singing lol.
If it's with regular friends, then both anime or asian songs are okay. bigrazz

I've been to karaoke (you know, like the ones in manga, they are popular here too), I just sang whatever song I knew (since I really have a lousy memory). it was fun either way, singing with friends is the best part!
