Hi smile I'm looking for a nice and refreshing manga in the fantasy romance genre. Something like Mahou Tsukai No Yome (which was really BREATHTAKING cry ) or Akagami No Shirayukihime .

basically, I like the ones with some magic/mythology/history, because they tell a more interesting tale. Mahou Tsukai No Yome and Akagami No Shirayukihime both had these : gorgeous art, well-written characters and plots, plus fluff smile

It can be manga/manhwa/manhua/webcomic. Name it and I'll read it. I'm excited for your suggestions

your request is kind of vague, if its just fantasy romance that is going to be a lot of manga. if you add some of the things you liked about the two manga you referenced it might make it easier for people to recommend you manga you would like. just a suggestion smile

here are some fantasy romance that i have liked
Akatsuki no Yona - it starts out a little slow but gets better the further you go, also this one kind of has the same kind of feeling as Akagami, maybe its because the main characters both have red hair. but this one does have a little more of a serious storyline and goal.

Abide in the Wind -this one is a webtoon(dont know if you mind that) and not much of the raws have been translated but its pretty good and has some good character development. also beware of yandere in this one.

Vahlia no Hanamuko -these are just a bunch of one shots but they were done by AKIZUKI Sorata who also did akagami no shirayukihime so the feeling in them is almost exactly the same. i really like these stories especially the 3rd one.

Kurenai Ouji -one of my favorites, it has a very cute and slow romance that really feels real. it starts out not very serious but it gradually becomes more so. it isn't really like the two you mentioned but its worth checking out.

Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii -this one is straight up just fluff, which snit always a bad thing if you like that. this one isn't amazing but isn't bad either, the only thing that bugs me about this one is its lack of serious atmosphere when the situation sometimes really is very serious.

Hanatsukihime -this one has some very typical moments in it, but its short and enjoyable enough for me to like it.

I think 'nice and refreshing' could apply to Ginzatoushi to Kuro no Yousei - Sugar Apple Fairytale

Edit: a few more after looking at my lists are Liselotte to Majo no Mori and Blind Märchen, although Blind Marchen has a slightly darker tone (not too dark though)

Mahou Tsukai no Yome is a very high bar, and the only manga that I can think of to match it are either not fantasy, not really romance, or not manga/manhwa/webtoon so... As for fantasy and romance in general here are a few:

Immortal Rain (Complete)

Double Arts (Complete, but was axed)

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai (Complete, romance not really the focus but it was tagged so w/e, also be warned that there is a bit of older male/much younger female) <- It's breathtaking and is definitely a match for Mahou Tsukai no Yome, I just don't really consider it a romance.

Wolf and Spice (Ongoing, focus not really romance but it's tagged so again, w/e)

Ame Nochi Hare (Bikke) (Ongoing scan, but complete, also gender bender)

ah my mistake sad i'll revise and write up more specific tags. thank you for correcting me gale1.

I have read Hanatsukihime , Kurenai Ouji , and everything Akizuki Sorata has ever made (because I really admire her art style and stories smile ).

BUT Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii is my all time fave.
Maybe I am a sucker for historical and magic too

@mikako17
i just started readind immortal rain...and just wow. It's fantastic. thank you for your suggestion

I second everything recommended. Ran to Haiiro no Sekai is a must. Also try Hana to Akuma and The Pale Horse (Manhwa).

Merupuri
Rure
Vampire Game
Otogimoyou Ayanishiki
Kanata Kara
Kami-sama Hajimemashita
Basara
Superior
Princess extremely good ones you pass the first few volumes!
You could try stuff like Fushigi Yuugi as well(I liked the Genbu tale) but for the original one be prepared for annoying female lead.

laugh I don't think there's anything wrong with being vague

I'm not sure if these manga below match ur requests but they're all AMAZING and have fantasy:

Tiara - it may seem dull and dramatic at the start, but it's really good. The comedy is actually funny, unlike in most manga, and if u like academies and dances you'll love it.
A Transient Mermaid In Love - it's a one shot, but nevertheless really good.
Akatsuki no Yona(the anime) - I haven't seen the manga but i know the anime is great. It does have action tho and u didn't acknowledge that genre, and btw there isn't much romance.

Good luck

smile
