Well, is it?

Most of the comments and what is metioned about "goong" is positive, but I've read some comments that say it gets bad.. (plot wise, and heroine becoming worse)
I'm currently on the first volume and it seems fine (as all the comments said).

I'm interested to know if I'm not waisting my time on reading it, because I don't have much time to read (check out my with list- touches 500)- what is not licensed (or not scaned from any reason) I can get, but again, I simply don't have the time.. no

Please help^^
Thanks a lot in advance!!

i had read it until vol 12 more or less, and so far it's a good manwha (with Princess one of my favorite shoujo manwha), but i felt the plot wasn't advancing in the last volumes (not as the first ones).

So no major set backes to turn you away from the story?
If so, good^^ roll eyes

I suggest you not go any further. I stopped reading at vol 11 or around there and am glad i did. Nothing seems to be happening, same old court intrigue, their relationship isn't going anywhere, and i don't get why she's so speechless every time her husband's cousin get all 'i love you.' just tell him to go away!

The heroine definetly seems to be regressing and her hubby is still as much as jerk as he was at the beginning.

I suggest you spend your time on better mangas/manhwas

I'll admit that it's kind of slow but around vol.14 and on, Shin finally grows a pair and confesses to Chae while she gets the courage to tell Yul to f*** off. But drama always ensues (political drama that tears the two apart) and it's at the point where it's starting to break my heart. D; It's really a great manwha (you just need patience and a bit of sanity to spare)

Personally, I felt the manga dragged out a bit like the others said. I did watch the Korean drama however and I loved it. I would recommend watching it even if you don't like the manga.

I thought the drama started out good but then it just lost it all at the end. It's not something I could watch more than once.

it gets worse. the heroine is just a classic shoujo girl. but you can always do what i did: skip for few volumes then continue reading. it is not like you gonna miss anything. roll eyes i don't understand why it is still popular. must be the same reason why ppl like Shinjo Mayu

Well, I am honestly glad that I kept up with it. Of course, like any long series, there are going to be ups and downs. But the longer the series goes, the relationship between the two get really good! So I would keep on reading. The thing is that I've read it chapter by chapter since around ch 70 something, so it's a bit hazy for me about if the middle part is good... but the recent chapters are good! biggrin

it slightly slows down in the middle, but new things are always happening so it shouldn't stop you from reading. it would probably drag a lot if you had to wait for each chapter, especially since the chapters are pretty short. however, since i read 1-106 in one sitting i didn't think it was draggy. every chapter was entertaining in some way, whether it was romance, politics, or the antics of the eunuch x]

Spoiler (highlight to view)
in the recently scanlated chapters, things are picking up again with the divorce and yul being a tard (like always >:-( ) and while browsing through various forums i saw something about ....... SHIN PROPOSING TO HYO-RIN AGAIN?! wtf x and shin and CG end up being divorced for more than a year!

so this caused me to desperately want to read the rest of vol 16, and then 17 and 18. i even dug up chinese raws on the internet to find out what happens. and reading in chinese is so awkward. this is the first manga/manhwa that made me do that.

I have to say that the series is a great series and in my humble opinion doesn't get boring for a long time.
It was so captivating that I actually taught myself how to read basic Korean just so I could catch up with the latest chapters. :]

Though I sort of feel like the series has been getting a bit slower and dull for volume 18. it seemed really dull and didn't really resolve anything... = =;;;
Spoiler (highlight to view)
after the end of volume 17 when Shin proposed to Hyorin after Chaegyeong was kicked out of the palace, I was sort of expecting something to happen in volume 18, yet barely anything interesting happened x__X

I just hope that something interesting happens in volume 19. :S

I have read more than 12 Volumes and it is still as good as in the beginning. The development is slowly, yes, but i like it this way, it seems much more realistic.
I don't think it is getting worse, every Volume is even better as the last one, maybe i think so, because the plot thikens, and i can't stop reading at all.

I actually like the heroine more at this point than in the beginning. She's more mature than in the beginning. It's just as good as it was in the beginning as it is now.

its really good, if anything it good to just look at the art, its very pretty, but it kinda get repetative after a while, and it just wont end cause the chracter seem so bizzare in normal human communication. But its definetely a god read, just for pure enoyment, and 2 keep u on your toes waiting for more, just 2 know how the current prob will be resolved eyes
