The schedule.

Akagami no Shirayukihime I didn´t last but the manga is fine shoujo fare and Yona of the Dawn fans will like it.

Dragon Ball Super I love the manga up to the moment it went Z so i will stay away but i tried the first chapter of the manga and it is more Z. DBS will be a rare modern anime that can make real money outside of Japan so that is good.

Durarara!!x2 This is the 2nd to last season and the anime finally overtook the (also highly recommended) manga adaptations. This is the one "new" show i will actually watch so far.

Gangsta. I have a review up on why the series started slipping during the recent arc but the opening is good and it will be adapted. The manga is enough for me but Manglobe should make the anime work.

Kangoku Gakuen I reviewed the manga too as the first arc is a rare Japanase sex comedy that wasn´t porn so i can recommend the anime if it stops at that natural ending point as the 2nd arc is repetitive nonsense that made me drop the series. I looked at the 3rd arc recently which is identical to the first and now SM + Watersports pr0n only...

Overlord The manga adaptation of the novel is way better then such stories tend to be but i was left cold in the end. This one will be popular on the web and Re:Monster should get one next year i guess.

Wakako-Zake The manga is the usual foody restaurant tour with no narative that only Japan and France put out but it´s nice to see a niche product get some (3 minute) attention.

Kōkaku Kidōtai - Shin Gekijōban (the new GitS movie) is a lock when it comes to home video but i will skip Boruto: Naruto The Movie. The last page of Naruto Gaiden will be the end for me too as i have been reading the manga since 2001 and i like the characters too much to see them reduced to money printing only.

The Psycho-Pass movie (please be like season 2) and the DRR special are coming to Blue-Ray. I still don´t know if i want to continue on with the Code Geass OVA as season 2 was a (fun) train-wreck that left me drained and the first 2 episodes of Akito were frankly boring.

The high amount of moe (virginity porn) and a lot of soft-core porn is noticeable. How do the producers plan to make money by carpet bombing the market like this?
See you when all had a chance to air as an original dark horse could always show up to save this write-off of a season a bit.

Actually, to me this is one of the beast seasons in a long time. I am always quite pessimistic about anime adaptions and I’ll probably be disappointed again by a lot of shows, but when I see titles like Rokka no Yuusha, Gate and Overlord, I can’t help getting my hopes up.
Then there’s Charlotte (it’s Jun Maeda damnit), Jitsu wa Watashi wa and God Eater (ufotable’s works are usually quite solid) as well.
Gangsta somehow wasn’t my cup of tea, though it wasn’t bad. I think it’ll work better as an anime for me.

IMO this is quite a strong season with a lot of prominent titles.

Looking forward to Durarara!!x2, Gangsta, Gate, Overlord...Durarara!! Was awesome, so is the season 2...
Re:Monster should get one...indeed

Kangoku Gakuen / Prison School is cool and all...but, not too sure about it...not too hyped 'bout it...will watch if I got time...

They should consider remakes of some older anime like Trigun, Cow Boy Bebop, Van Helsing...!

To be honest, the only thing that interests me the most in this season is Gangsta.
My overall reaction: http://i.imgur.com/VDrmgyW.png

And Yankee-kun to Megane-chan needs to have a proper anime adaptation, instead of having a crossover special only. cry

A wise HBO advertisement told me that We Get the World We Deserve and thus the club of anime worth watching this summer that consists of the always in form Durarara!!x2 (9/10) and Gangsta.(com 8/10) where i am sticking to the deteriorating manga is joined by Rokka no Yuusha (8/10). It´s a LN adaptation and i couldn´t get my hands on the (web-)manga to try it out last month. The budget was very much on screen, the setting is rich and fans of Rage of Bahamut and The Twelve Kingdoms will enjoy this stylish fantasy adventure but i will need to rely on the manga or LN soon as the anime will run for 12 episodes only.

This is the worst season in at least 2 years but i had one about 3 years ago where i picked up 0 new shows as i skip most direct adaptations to keep time on my hands and Japan again gave me the gift of free time. Next season will finely have Lupin amongst others so life goes on but the lack of original anime worth their salt is getting more and more problematic. Last season´s Platic Memories fell apart after 2 episodes and this season has none but these are the main reason i watch anime...
I also made a joke that the summer of hard is dog pilled with softcore porn which will lead to a bloodbath on the disc market and the hentai market will unleash 10 new OVA´s this month alone too so expect someone to file for bankruptcy soon roll eyes.
What did these producers learn in business school?

Ongoing are: Arslan Senki + Baby Steps are a 8/10 but i only read the manga.
Ninja Slayer From Animation (8/10) as it grew and grew and is proving to be Triggers best show and Ore Monogatari!! (9/10) as it is the best shoujo anime in years so i hope that a gecko ending can be avoided. Also Gravity Falls + Rick and Morty + Star Wars Rebels.
Justice League: Gods and Monsters is coming this months too and the dark lead in web shorts and comics were great. The team is top notch too so i vote for Team America this toon season wink . See you next season cowboy.
