I'm looking for manga that are long running series. Doesn't necessarily an ongoing series, so long as they're above 100+ chapters (preferably 150+ but i'm okay with 100+)

Any genre, except: yaoi, yuri

These are the magna's that I've read so far:
20th Century Boys (249)
Akagi (184)
Bakuman (176)
Beserk (337)
Bleach (634)
Dragon Ball (500+)
Fairy Tail (443)
Freezing (250)
Gantz (383)
Gintama (549)
GTO (200)
Hayate the Combat Butler (500)
History's Strongest Desciple Kenichi (583)
Hunter x Hunter (349)
Ichigo 100% (167)
Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru (308)
Kingdom (438)
Liar Game (203)
Magi - Labyrinth of Magic (273)
Mahou Sensei Negima (355)
Monster (168)
Naruto (700)
Nisekoi (177)
One Piece (793)
Piano no Mori (158)
Slam Dunk (276)
Suzuka (166)
Toriko (330)
Tough (367)
Vagabond (327)

100-150 chapters:
Ahiru no Sora (125) - i know this has mor than 125, but those that are scanlated are up to 125.
Denpa Kyoushi (134)
Hikaru no Go (148)
Love Hina (122)
Nodame Cantabile (136)
Psyren (146)
Shokugeki no Soma (126)

I've missed out some, but I'll update these later.

Feel free to suggest anything! I'll updatte the above list for any suggestions you have.

Kingdom(438), Beserk(337), Vagabond(327), and Gantz(383) come to mind if you don't mind Seinen.
All worth a read.
Edit: Monster(168), 20th Century Boys(249), Psyren(146), and Liar Game(203) are all brilliant manga.

seinen, shonen, shoujou, it doesn't matter.

thanks for the suggestion on kingdom, berserk, vagabond, psyren, liear game, 20th century boys and monster. i'll read them in a week.

already read gantz..

anybody else?

P.S.
Reason I'm looking for manga's that are 100+ chapters is that these are the usual manga's that were successful. a manga that has low following usually get's axed at the onset of the series (thus the low number of chapters, or a sudden ending). Unless if the mangaka intended the said series to just be under 100 chapters.

You do realize that the chapter count for monthly series is inherently lower than for weekly series, right? Though as monthly series don't typically run as long as weeklies, I guess it's not that big a deal.

(Freesia is the only example of a monthly series that probably would have exceeded 100 chapters as a weekly I can think of offhand.)

Anyway, since you're not picky about genres...

Nijiiro Togarashi - 109 chapters (my favorite Adachi work).
Goodnight Punpun - 147 chapters
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou - 140 chapters
Cross Game - 160 chapters
The World Is Mine - 163 chapters
I Am a Hero - 179 and counting
Holyland - 182
Ashita no Joe - isn't actually divided into chapters, but at 20 volumes it's longer than any of the above.

Touch - 257 chapters
Fourteen - 260 chapters
H2 - 338 chapters
3x3 Eyes - 577 chapters

(Series I actively recommend are in bold, the others are there for sake of completeness. Not that they're necessarily bad or anything, I just didn't care for them as much. I generally prefer shorter series though, so you may feel otherwise.)

If you put brackets around the series title, it generates the link automatically.
(i.e. [Series Title])

Ongoing:
Silver Spoon (112)
Pokemon Special (500 and counting)

Completed:
Fullmetal Alchemist (108) (every chapter is long since it was a monthly manga)
Wandering Son (123)
B Gata H Kei (300)
Daily lives of high school boys (107)
Kekkaishi (345)
Salad Days (18 volumes)
Soul Eater (113)
Buyuden (134)
Urusei Yatsura (more than 300)

Seconding Shibatora and Pandora Hearts

Bear in mind that many monthly aren't supposed to have this many chapters, since every chapter is already long. Besides, long running series are often axed anyway (like what happened with Psyren and Buyuden). And the more they keep going, the more the possibility of quality decreasing.

Let me suggest Hoshi no Samidare, that doesn't make it to 100, but is a really good, successful story that wraps up nicely.

Thanks. I can include monthly series as long as it's good and besides like what you've said, the pages are more than the usual 15-20 pages of those weekly series.

Yu Yu Hakusho (175 Chapters)
Basara (Not sure how many chapters, but it's 27 volumes, so I assume it's over 100)
Red River (This series up until Volume 18 was had chapters. It's 28 Volumes long, which is about 100+ chapters)
Ranma 1/2 (407 Chapters)

I think it may be a good idea to do volume length as well. Some series have a lot of volumes, but are not divided up into chapters.
