I'm looking for a manga with a story about two people. It has to be a drama, I don't mind it being depressing, but please no tragic setting (something like someone dying at the start of the manga and the whole story about that exact person and how he died)

Well, till now it's like I describe 90% of the manga's out there. What I'm looking for is difficulties of love hence "depressing". Something like the guy getting deppresed about something and the girl embracing him.

Definitely 100% Perfect Girl (Read the review by closet-otaku on the page, it's what inspired me to read it)

If anyone of you saw the anime\music video called "Mudai," that's exactly what I'm looking for.

The last 2/3 of A Cruel God Reigns: the main pairing has to cope together with trauma. Be warned though that this is shounen ai and the first four volumes have explicit scenes of sexual abuse.

Originally I was going to post something else but then I saw Mudai. I teared up and knew that my original post was not going to cut it. I dont' know if I can find you a manga that will give you that instant emotional feeling that Mudai gave me but I can try to recommend you something close to it. If you haven't read these yet, I hope you will find that it is close; some will take patience to get to that emotional part so please bear with it if you haven't read them before.

Pink Lady
This is similar to Mudai. I think you'll find it worthwhile.

Bokura Ga Ita
This also fits well in what you may be looking for but there are obviously obstacles along the way. It's quite well known so you may have already read it... If you haven't, brace yourself for an extremely frustrating character but the ending is great.

Bread and Butter
Not sure if you'll like this one though. There is drama but not so much to call it melodrama. It's a "comfort food-like" story that lives up well to its name.

Sand Chronicles
I almost forgot this one. For me, the slice of life to it is what gives this manga a similar emotional feeling to Mudai. However this is in reverse where the male is more of the supporter.

Kare kano
This was a #1 manga during the golden age of shoujo and is considered a classic. It takes some time to get to the "tragic" part b/c it's long. You may have alraedy read it though. If you haven't, I'm serious about the need for patience based on what you're looking for.

24 Colors - Hatsukoi no Palette
This manga has the lasting impression for me as "If this doesn't make you believe in love, I don't know what will." However it isn't a very developed love story; just the budding.

Bakuman
This is a shounen manga about how manga is produced for shounen jump. That aspect in itself is amazing however it is a shounen manga. Despite that, the romance aspect is very innocent. Almost like the feeling you get when you see a toddler boy and girl holding hands or one giving the other a peck on the cheek (those black and white photos really communicate those emotions well). Well if you think those things are cute that is... The girl really believes in the guy. If you ever have the time I would recommend you find time to read it. At least read the first few chapters and you'll know what I'm talking about.

More than one person recommended 100% Perfect Girl; if you haven't read it Kirishu, I recommend Can't Lose You first by the same manhwaga. It's a cinderella scenario but you may feel that 100% comes on strongly if you read it first. Also Can't Lose You has more of the feel you are looking for I think.

These are all the ones that I can currently think of that fit more to Mudai. They're all I personally read before and enjoyed most out of many I have read.

Edit:
You might find an interest in this one too but the romance does not develop until later. It might be your cup of tea.

I'm looking for a manga that the female is kind of supporter to the male lead when he is depressed(they need to be in relationship, I don't want childhood friends). I also don't want manga with love obstacles (such as a love triangle).

You have anything like that? I've put Sand Chronicles into my PTR, sounds like a great manga. Bokura ga Ita has love triangle, unrequited love, and crybaby protagonist so, sadly, I decided to skip it.

For Bokura ga Ita, it's towards the last few volumes where this kind of happens which is the main reason I felt the story was worthwhile. It helped that I skimmed the volumes and started really reading when I thought it got interesting biggrin . But then again, love triangle reaches to almost its end too....

If you didn't like Bokura ga Ita, you might not have the patience for Sand Chronicles. Also it's reversed. The male is more of the supporter. Also childhood friends and love triangle/quadrilateral...

Hakuji might be closest to what you are looking for (that I can think of off the top of my head) now that it's 100% clear what you want. However...they don't start as a couple. It's pretty short though. I don't recall a love triangle either. I was going to originally recommend this but it slipped my mind as I started my list.

Kare Kano does this but like Bokura ga Ita, it's in the last few volumes when a HUGE tragedy strikes with the male lead and the return of a childhood trauma- at that point, the couple has been in a relationship for 2-3 years. The female lead is a powerful person in terms of character and I love how she helps him through it. Maybe you've read the manga though.

Bakuman is the only one I think that really does the female support male but romance is a subplot to the main story as a shounen so it's probably not what you want. The relationship starts off in the first chapter and there's no love triangle or anything like that. It's pure shounen and great sportsmanship (attitude, not actual sports) with a romance subplot that is absolutely pure and so supportive on both ends of the spectrum.

Sorry this a bit of a regurgitation of my original post. It's late on my end so I think I'll take the challenge when I'm more well rested. I have some on my mind but not sure. I do hope you look into the ones I've recommended though including the ones I did not regurgitate in my original post. They're all pretty good reads if you haven't read them=)

I think I'll give Bokura ga Ita and Kare Kano a try. I've also read Hakuji already, a really great manga.
Thanks for the recommendations smile
