It starts out with the main character being introduced to the game by his friend who happens to be a girl. I don't remember if she was his childhood friend or not. Each player is given a unique ability and if I remember correctly he got a ability the allows him to survive even when critically damaged. Early in the manga as soon as he was introduced to the game his friend gets kidnapped and forced into a league in the game. He spends most of the manga trying to get stronger and search for her.

i have no idea what that manga is but sounds interesting but.... kinda weird someone got kidnapped in the game without him knowing her where she is when he could just ask her in real life

This sounds like Real PG but that wasn't a VRMMO.
If it's not I'd be interested to see what it is, I've had a semi-running list of these types of stories.
