No yaoi/shounen ai smut ecchi hentai or adult/mature manga. Yuri/shoujo ai is accepted and welcomed, as is shoujo or even just a comedy. I would prefer her as a main character but even just part of the main cast is ok, I've already read gekkan shoujo nozaki-kun. Comedy is welcome as I said but I'm looking mainly for something that actually has more tension and drama than that. I don't want a series that's been dropped or has gone too long without updates, so if it's incomplete, please don't refer anything that's not currently being updated regularly. I'm very picky about art, nothing from before 2010 at the earliest. I am basically looking for any manga within those terms with a princely female lead or female school prince, though as I mentioned, I'm willing to look into ones where they aren't the lead but part of the main cast. Thank you in advance for your help

i'm just gonna suggest watching Utena. even if you dont like art pre-2010, it's still a good piece filled with a lot of deeper, somewhat abstract symbolism.
it's basically a coming of age story that addresses various issues and is a very feminist piece especially for its time. but if you don't like surrealism or subtext in works, maybe you wont like it. otherwise, give the anime a go.

Otomen, from which Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun liberally borrowed its plot. It ran from 2006 to 2012, but I hope that the "old" art won't keep you from giving it a try.
