Help! I'm running low on my "stockipile" of manga I'd like to read. It's my own fault, as I'm pretty picky about artwork and genres.

I've been strictly only searching for shoujo so far, and haven't ventured into the shounen/seinen demographics. Do you have any suggestions for shounen/seinen that I might like?

- Romance
- Shoujo-esque artwork
- Please no yaoi, yuri, shounen ai, shoujo ai, etc genre. I'm not against it, I just want a lovely male/female romance. smile

Other than that I'm open! Fantasy, sci-fi, smut, comedy, adventure-- a-ok! eek

Here are few, not too sure on what you mean by shoujo-esque art since my idea of that is 80's-90's shoujo art:

Complete:

Ran to Haiiro no Sekai (Seinen, Fantasy)
Emma (Seinen, Historical)
Chrno Crusade (Shounen, Historical, Supernatural)
Natsu no Zenjitsu (Seinen)

Ongoing:

Mahou Tsukai no Yome (Shounen, Fantasy, male lead is NOT typical)
Otoyomegatari (Seinen, Historical)
Sekine-kun no Koi (No demographic, totally thought it was josei though)
Yesterday o Utatte (Seinen)

Chobits + Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle

I guess this is the only "shojo" artworks I know ^ These are some other super strong or dip your feet in kinds of romancy works in Shounen/Seinin. Sorry, I mainly ready ecchi... ;/

Ai-Ren

Comic Studio - Just a warning, this is more touchy feely love then romance, but regardless.

Love Hina

Tasogare Otome X Amnesia

Hoshi no Koe

I also second Koe no Katachi, very strong. smile Don't get too invested in the romance though, is not the point of the story. Re:Marina was also quite good. Also note these are only works I have completed.

I'm going to take some leeway with your "shoujo-ish" art request and interpret it as "not rough" art (and no bulging muscles).

Horimiya - You can't even tell it's not shoujo.
American Ghost Jack - Super pretty and available online officially from Taptastic.
Bonnouji - Super calm romance.
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - Sad romance.
Goshimei desu! - Mayu Shinjou doing shounen! And it's somehow better than most of her shoujo works.

Maybes:

Noragami - The romance is super light.
ES - I think the romance was light in this too.
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - MC is a shoujo mangaka! Barely there "romance."
Online - The Comic - Mild romance.

Did you read Made in Heaven? it's a good interesting josei title, where each volume is from an alternating POV.
Hmm, you want to explore seinen romance titles that are joseish/shoujoish, there are a few, I'll suggest adult mature titles (as in age and manga targeted at 20~30yo)
-Hetakoi by late Nakano Junko, it's a very griping and interesting title , thought it suffers from some cliche of other romance manga even thought it's by a female mangaka (male centeric POV, slapstick comedy..etc), it's a good unless you get enraged easily by some plot devices.
-Moteki also a seinen by a female mangaka, and the art is joseish, it's one of the best adult romance titles I've read so far, still, the MC is one of these unpopular introverted characters who turned recently to be more socializing, i could relate, but not everyone could.
-Mars no Kiss the other way around, a josei short title written by a male mangaka, it's about relationships that are borderline friendships/love, makes you thought about what's friendship and what's love, not to be missed.
-Yesterday o Utatte a manga by Toume Kei, this should be enough to make you know what kind of manga it is, serious stuff, no slapstick comedy at all.
-Sakuranbo Syndrome one my favorites,
adult MC, different POV from 3 charchters even thought it's from the POV of a female character most of the time.
-Hoshi no Furu Machi art is old school, about HS love, but it's about serious issues, no cheap comedy here, it's from the same mangaka who had done the titular Densha Otoko, another good title by him too is Fuyu Hanabi with a female MC POV.
-Salad Days unlimited romance works!
-Uwagaki I like this title, but I feel like it's targeted to the thinking types and not the feelers, interesting concepts, and exploration of love and identity.

Thank you all SO MUCH! I apologize for being very general as far as "shoujo-esque" is concerned. I enjoy artwork like Skip Beat, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Ao Haru Ride, The One, etc.

A lot of these ideas that you gave me look wonderful, though and I'm excited to start reading tonight!
