Hello everyone. I'm looking for webcomics in the sense that it's published online but can be from anywhere, not just S. Korea, as long as I can read it in English somewhere. What I mean by atypical art style is that it should not look like it's some manga derivative art style. Though I am willing to make exceptions if it has a good plot. I would love if it was in full color, but it doesn't necessarily have to be so. As for specific genres, I prefer all sorts of fantasy, sci-fi, historical, alternate history, and supernatural.

I know this is a fairly difficult request so if you guys have any questions, ask.

You might find some interesting comics in this thread about OEL webcomics.

I'm partial to Kiwis by Beat - I mentioned minus in the other thread, but I think these two comics might be more what you're looking for, as far as art is concerned.

*Looks at webcomic reading list*

Could I list some webcomics that are made in English? Also, are comics that have a strip-like style okay (IOW, have little or no central plot)?

Thanks for the reccs, Kiwis looks awesome!

And yep, English webcomics are definitely welcomed, so are strips comics, gotta love xckd and Subnormality (though Subnormality has definitely moved a bit away from that). I read much more of those than I do S. Korean ones. Two other English webcomics I really enjoy are in my signature.

Alright then...

-Awkward Zombie - A webcomic about games. The closest it has to an actual plot is the Smash Bros. pages.
-Black & Blue - Can't really describe the plot because it hasn't fully established itself yet (Even after 100+ pages), but the author describes it as a noir/sci-fi series. However, the tone of the series has a very clear grasp of being somewhere between Blade Runner and the original Terminator, just without the action.
-Blue Milk Special - A parody of the original trilogy of Star Wars films "one scene at a time".
-Brawl In The Family - Unlike AZ, this comic is completely about Smash Bros.. Though, the central characters of the series is Kirby and his mates.
-Dilbert - Yes, it is online.
-Down the Upward Spiral - This is humor
-Drop the Cow! - About a hacker from England deported to America, and she now works in the IT department of a company. If it means anything, the series is done almost entirely with 3D Lego minifigures.
-Loading Artist - A huge amount of it would be the type of humor my family and I come off with.
-Lunarbaboon - A comic about being a dad.
-Pixel - This comic came out long before the movie, and is not connected to it other than the title. Most of it is actually centered around computer humor, and some other things
-Poorly Drawn Dinosaurs - If you like anything with dinosaurs, this is where you go.
-Zoophobia - About an unemployed woman who goes to work as the counselor for a school. I'll let you fill in the blanks.

Honorable mentions (Because I couldn't tell if they were atypical in art style)...

Cucumber Quest
The Meek
Sabrina Online

Here are some OEL webcomics I read that don't have manga-esque styles:
Whomp! - the comedic life of a weeaboo dude
Shoot Around - zombie apocalypse featuring a girls' high school basketball team and their coach
Kill 6 Billion Demons - amazing, detailed environments. Deep lore. One of my personal favorites.
The Night Belongs to Us - Werewolf and vampire adventures.

You should probably check out Ava's Demon too.
I follow quite a few more but they have more manga inspired art. That or they are nsfw.

I think HA Il-Kwon (Annarasumanara) and [a] [/a]NastyCat[a] (Trace) have very distinct art styles

Thank you guys so much! biggrin All of these are going onto my Piperka reading list biggrin

A slight clarification of atypical, as long as it's not manga-esque. So The Meek definitely works since I actually already read it and am so excited that it's back along with a new comic, Mare Internum.

And yep, definitely am reading Ava's Demon already.
