People keep attempting to change Dead Tube's genres between ecchi and adult. Which is it and why?

Ecchi applies to fanservice as by our definition. The manga though uses graphic on screen sex as the main plot and combines it with equally graphic violence so Adult/Mature end up making a prefect combo. The endless rapes/gang bangs are further as graphic as your average hentai manga.

Every single other site has Adult applied to it and adding Ecchi would only list it with child friendly manga that only have a few boob shots or skirts being flipping.
Dead Tube´s chap.11 though has a teacher engaging in an orgy with her students with spread open vagina shots and scenes of them cumming on her. The genitalia is sort of bleached out but anything else would get the creators put into prison by Japanese law. (Even if the manga was real hentai.) She then murders them, rapes a corpse and has an orgasm while another student shots her through the head. How is Group Intercourse (9,0) / Rape (10,1) supposed to be Ecchi and you will find equal scenes in basically every chapter. A teen couple shoots a porno for the rest of the class in chap.13 and...
So it´s a clear cut Borderline H (13,1) / Ero-Guro (4,1) manga.
Edit: I love the pleasant environment explanation. DT´s NTR elements go against that too.

Adult. Ecchi generally tends to be more comical in mostly a pleasant environment but there is nothing comical or pleasant about Dead Tube.

As Resident basically summed up, this is definitely adult (+ mature). Ecchi would normally have suggestive themes/imagery, whereas this series has flat-out sex, raping, murders, etc.

Please change it back to adult and keep it as that.

Adult should fit more, since it's supposed to mean both ecchi and hentai, right? Dead Tube is actually both of them, so it gets confusing to call it either one of ecchi or hentai. It has content that are more than ecchi, to be honest. And all these blood and stuff, Adult is perfect.
Ah, nevermind. Guess I was a bit late, huh? Gotta be more fast from now on. bigrazz

Adult means a focus on graphic sex exists as in adult film industry so it can apply to all 4 of our possible demographics, the 2 harder gay options and logically to hentai by default. Mature is the one for gore, ultra dark themes as drugs and also for a sensible amount of "sensuality". We have enough series as Gantz where both perfectly fit.
DT can´t further be hentai as it was published in a Shounen magazine.
RS456 gave a to the point description of Ecchi and it only applies to male publications with Smut being it´s female only inversion while we @ at it. The google image search result for Ecchi is lastly a good example too so let´s continue to leave it off works with a focus on Gore/Gorn, Rape, prostitution, NTR or series that are indistinguishable from porn. These forums don´t need another discussion who shoved up what whose (underage) sex hole. That´s for sure! Let´s all just walk into the sunset ok? Adios muchachos.

Edit: I should have pointed out too that a lone Ecchi isn´t a content warning (read as "age-gate worthy") on it´s own.
