What's your opinion on manga that not only entertains but demonstrates a lesson within the chapters? (such as cooking)
・It helps us learn from the author
・It gets in the way of the story
Would you like to have your favorite manga teach you something interesting aside from the plot, such as fun facts of the series?

Sometimes it's good for making the story more understandable, but it starts to get annoying if the story becomes boring because of it. I've already read a series that did so much explaining of moves (in a martial art) that it starts to get boring. You need to enjoy a manga while reading, the lectures are for class. So, a little explanation is OK, but don't over exaggerate it.

I totally agree with deadphoenix on this one.
Yet I also find that mangas that do declare from the beginning that it will be teaching, f.e cooking in Shokugeki no Souma to be ok. In this example however I absolutely love Shokugeki no souma. If it's not a manga made for educational purposes it should have either the plot or a good balance between entertainment and teaching stuff.

Idk how many different mangas, manhuas or manhwas that I've read but it's more than 3000. More to come!
(Number of H-mangas and one-shots: unknown and not included)
Over 180 anime shows watched and there's a vast sea of shows to go.
J/K-drama's 50+ shows watched.
It's Mr to you!

Though not all manga that has teachings are good, manga that are good have teachings.
I prefer to read manga that teaches over manga that are purely character based. Having a certain theme like "Pollution" and "War" gives a bigger picture to the story rather than just the characters.
Take for example Princess Mononoke where themes like Human Pollution, War, and even Religion are implemented to the story. It teaches the watchers to think beyond themselves so that they can see the bigger picture. It force us to look at the world as a whole and not just viewing it through our own little world.
This is something that a lot of manga to day lack. Though there are a lot of modern manga that have a theme, the themes are just there for the story. The characters and their lives are the main focus and not the moral that the story is trying to deliver. I think this is why people find it annoying to have themes in the story. Because the story doesn't do a good job in exploring it's theme.
BTW Any recommendation?
