Hello

I have a question regarding adding doujinshi as related series.

Does this note:
"Note: Please do NOT add links to doujinshi series from the main series info page. There are simply TOO many series to list. Instead, go to each specific doujinshi page and place an "Adapted From" link to the main series."

applies also to "orginal" doujinshi? By orginal I understand created by the author of the series. If We apply the rule to this type of doujunshi they are not shown on the main series page. My personal opinion is that they shoul as they present some related stories, sequels etc. Now there seems to be no clear rule about them.

Examples
Totally Captivated 3 visible orginal doujinshi - long sequels, side stories
Hidoku Shinai de 7 not visible orginal doujishin - extra stories

Doujunshi that tell a wholly original story are treated as proper "manga" on MU.
The ones you link to have Manga / Manhwa in the field Type and lack a dj in the title. The related series are all by the same author too so you linked to properly set up examples it seems.

residentgrigo - thank you for explaining!,

To make it clear - both examples show proper treatment of dj positions as they are now?
Then still not clear for me

-The dj for Totally Captivated are manhwa type but still all have dj in the name included...(Totally Captivated dj - Mr Sangchul's Diary; Totally Captivated dj - Totally Spying On Them etc.)

- some positions with type Doujinshi and name including dj are proper orginal stories, but they should not be linked?

And beside the topic - is there any place that gathers specifications/rules/definitions for filing each field? In tried to find it but could not....

The approval of titles is ultimately an administrative matter and this is how MU defines Doujunshi in the FAQ:
Quote
"Doujinshi" are fan created works that use characters from popular series to create new plots and stories. Typically, but not always, these are adult-orientated.

From the Related Series function:
Quote
Note: Please do NOT add links to doujinshi series from the main series info page. There are simply TOO many series to list. Instead, go to each specific doujinshi page and place an "Adapted From" link to the main series.

Also of note:
"Status in Country of Origin" Series Field
Quote
"15 Volumes (Ongoing)" means that 15 volumes of the series are out in tank form in the country of origin. The 16th volume is in the works. Even if chapters for volume 16 are out in magazines, there are only 15 volumes in print! So the field indicates exactly how many volumes are currently printed and are possible to buy if so wished.
If it is a new series and no volume is currently released because all the chapters are in magazines, either leave the field blank or put "0 Volumes (Ongoing)". Do not put the number of chapters released. Only volumes!
For doujinshi, leave this field blank unless there are multiple volumes of a doujinshi series that use the same name.
For oneshots, they should all be "Oneshot (Complete)".

Try the forum search function if the FAQ doesn´t cover your specific question and feel free to then start a tread in a board that sounds the most correct if you still got nothing.
They say there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
