The only time I've skipped to the end is with raw volumes I've bought.
When I'm actually reading the series, I never skipped to the end.

there are to many crappy situations in manga, and manga that seem just a tad to short for the story its telling, so i have to see what the ending is before i invest hours of my life into reading one, or in the case of light novels, days of time.
take shield hero, i plan to buy it all if the ending is good, if its not, i'll likely stop a little after crap hits the fan with one of the characters, however, if the novel is changed from what its original end was in a satisfactory way (the original end was a gigantic middle finger to everyone who read it), i don't need a happy end, just satisfactory, i'm buying every volume that comes out.
there are manga i actively quit reading because of endings and ways characters acted, namely suzuka and i blacklisted the author because of decisions he made, which, let's be honest, was the right decision that's reinforced with every new thing they do.

I did it once for Wolf guy because I wanted to see how it ended but I couldn't bear the endless rape scenes.
It reminds me that I know someone that always reads the end of detective novels before starting to read from the beginning. I don't see the point. ^^'

I put seldom, because while I never check the manga's ending by going through the pages,
I do sometimes check online for spoilers.
And then regret doing so. lol. That's how I ruined Aria for myself. x3

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.

Never, because If a series had an ending then I just gotta read to it.
But if a series is still publishing and has too many chapters like Hajime No Ippo, then I skip to latest published chapter sometimes to see where the story has progressed to

I have a bad habit of reading the books from the end to the beginning whever I have the chance. Cliffhangers bug me that much.
