I've noticed that ISSTH got a page update, and now Xian Ni is its prequel.
So I'm wondering, since I'm already 400 chapters in ISSTH will there be any parts where stuff from Xian Ni overlaps with ISSTH? Or will there be no interaction or just a mention or something really small that happens with both series.
I don't want any spoilers since spoilers really do ruin series for me if they are big or take a lot of time to happen. I don't mind being told there might be interactions between MC and MC from both different series. I just want to know if there is, will someone who hasn't read the prequel be confused or lost?

You won't be confused. Both the stories takes place in a shared universe. Meng Hao learns about the protagonist of Xian Ni (from whom he gains help indirectly) much later on and you won't be confused as author explains the necessary details. The ending of Xian Ni would be spoiled though if you read ISSTH first as Meng Hao learns the story of protagonist of Xian Ni.
I don't even know why someone posted it as prequel.

Oh ok, thanks for the information man. That helped clear quite a bit. There is no way I can wait for all 2k chapters of Xian Ni to be translated though, guess I'm just going to have to get spoiled from ISSTH :/

The ending of Xian Ni is one of the most creative twist I have ever seen in xianxia. So you would spoiled of a great ending.
Xian Ni takes place in a different universe. Xian Ni's world is not related to ISSTH's "Nine Mountains and Seas". I guess you could call they exist in same multiverse.

No. The world which was referred to recently in the Immortal Plain is totally different.
Long ago many worlds were destroyed and the creator of ISSTH'S universe used the energy of destroyed worlds to create what we know as "Nine Mountains and Seas".
Xian Ni's universe is totally different and it's not connected to issth in any respect. We see the clone of Wang Lin in ISSTH and Meng Hao helps him. Meng Hao learns about the tragic story of Wang Lin.

Yeah, I was talking about that 'totally different' world, which was mentioned in previous Ancient Immortal Demon Sect arc, the one reflects in 9 parts(together making it whole) in Mountain and Sea Mirror.
Now the real question is, if it still exists or got destroyed/ruined in a great war?!
Haha...as you said, it seems (knowledge of) the Origin Of ISSTH and Xian Ni worlds are quite paradoxical. Knowing one might reveal the secret of another (if the reader isn't totally dumb obviously). Getting spoiled about Xian Ni atm doesn't make much difference to me(though I personally love spoilers...lol). I'm not currently reading Xian Ni Novel anyway, though tried the manhua a bit. And we will know these secrets soon enough anyway. ^^

The entire universe of Xian Ni is a dreamland. Wang Lin created the entire universe in order to find a method to revive his dead wife.
Remember we saw a flashback in ISSTH recently on the ancient battle ship after Meng Hao lost his cultivation? The one in which a man cursed heavens for taking away his wife...that was Wang Lin.
Wang Lin was super strong from the start. He created the fake universe (dream) to search for a method to revive his wife. The "Heaven Defying Bead" is a tool to come out of the drem. At the very beginning of series we see Wang Lin incidentally finding the bead but in fact it was Wang Lin's future self who placed the bead there so that young Wang Lin can find it. But Wang Lin's plan fails as he starts going in a time loop.
