So my computer got stolen a few months ago and I only just now got to replace it..

The problem is there was this one manga I had been following that I had bookmarked on Safari and now cant remember the title of. One of the main characters names is Chika (I think) and he is a former delinquent.

The manga opens following a shy, dorky, glasses wearing student who the year before had joined a club but all the other member graduated at the end of the year leaving him the last member. He now has to get people to join the club but is really to shy to be effective, not to mention one of the other club's members is ripping down his posters and making a mess of his club room. Chika has just joined the school and is known as a delinquent. Chika kicks these idiots out but the shy guy is suspicous of his motives and denies his application, Things happen, shy guy;s mind is changed, Later they get their third member and she is a prodigy in the instrument the club plays and you learn later that she was thrown out of her prestigous family because for a time she refused to play.

Okay hopefully that was enough to get someone to know what this is, I freaking loved this manga and soooooo want to keep reading it but cant remember the title. HELP

No but thanks for the help. the instrument they use is definitely Japanese (i think) or at least one I (an american) had never even heard of before. It was a string instrument and the user had to kneel in the manga. Thanks again though.

This manga came to mind first: Sakamichi no Apollon, I know it's not the one you are looking for, but it's really good!! About a jazz band/club.

Haruchika, with a character named Chika, who's in a wind instrument club.

Komori Quintet!, also with a character named Chika, who joins a rock band but they use string instruments (or something like).

Kono Oto Tomare!, "Since the graduation of the senior members of the club, Takezou ends up being the sole member of the "Koto" (traditional Japanese string instrument) club." Literally the first sentence in the description.
