specifically humanoid robots that are thought to be, or treated as, human by all the people around them. A good example is something like Karakuri Odette.

Cyborg 009 idk if it has anything to do with the anime, but the anime was ok, and has robots xD
Appleseed idk much about it, but i saw a movie a while back and it looks good, seems to be robots there, as well.
