Ignore the title as it does not explain what i want to say. So i really want to read a manga where the female lead is plain/does not have any special talents or beauty unlike the people around her. And although she's not special, her will power, personality and mind is awesome. She can stand up to bullies and can fake a smile.Although the people around her have special talents or are popular let's say they're bad people and the main female lead, although she hates to think this, kinda feels frustrated by the fact that people with bad personality are in relationships but she isn't.

[sorry if i couldn't explain clearly >\\\< ]

Hmm... Something like Warau Kanoko-sama and it's sequel Koi da no Ai da no ?
Or more like Futsu Hyakkei ? All by the same mangaka TSUJITA Ririko and all completed.

The plot of Gokusen and Mars looks so interesting *^* i'll surely give it a read. I read Koe no Katachi and loved it biggrin And fir some reason (Maybe because of the art) i didn't like Skip Beat at all. I know that it gets better but i still don't like it .-. Thank you!

The MC from Hana Yori Dango would fit this. She's pretty plain but super willful. It's super popular but jic you've never heard of it.

This is not romance but I love this is a story because the MC has to learn how to stand up for herself. Life by Suenobu Keiko. She's plain, eventually has to learn how to kick ass, and is very frustrated by the fact the beautiful popular girl bullying her is getting away with it. It was also made into a live action drama.

I've already read Hana Yori Dango and ugh i loved it so much <3 The female lead is emotionally strong. But i kinda hated the MC, i think he overdid it with the female lead. I mean she was dragged by a car.A CAR.

Hm, I read another plain Jane main character recently, but it doesn't really fit. I'll suggest it anyway Tomodachi no Hanashi
And maybe Eensy-Weensy Monster
Mobius Doumei
and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Although I didn't finish this one... I don't remember why I dropped it...

HAHA! I had a love hate relationship with that manga too!! I remember he was horrible to her but don't remember the specifics (like the car thing WHAT!!) Maaan, that manga took me for a total rollercoaster ride smile Still liked him better than the horrible "hero" from Hot Gimmick. I think that guy always takes the cake. Doesn't help the girl was a total doormat.

I second Cheese in the Trap. She's average in looks and social skills, but she's very hard-working and has extremely good intuition. There are multiple instances where she stands up to bullies, and faking smiles is often how she gets by in life.

How about these:

Sekine-kun no Koi (Ongoing, the mc is the male lead though)
Love Com (Complete)
Koukou Debut (Complete)
Takane to Hana (Ongoing)
Seigi no Mikata (Ongoing, the the story revolves around the talented and beautiful older sister but is viewed through the plain sister, so I'm not quite sure this fits, it is a lot of fun though)

Err...these are also more similar to your request than it is to Cheese in the Trap
