Quote from Leguron
But we tried for some chapter of Aharoo or Yahalue to uncensor some chapters. Some liked it and some disliked it.

That's why I was asking, I know I read 1 chapter of Aharoo and suddenly PENISES.

Ok I apologize. There is no way to prove when you have bought a chapter on Toptoon.
The closest to it is http://toptoon.com/my/library

I assumed since Lezhin has that option that logs every transaction.
Excample of the Lezhin logs:

I don't know how long yomanga waited when they "stole" other groups' projects, but a month isn't that long, unless you're on your deathbed. I say common courtesy is 3 months.

But heymanga admitted they rehost yomanga scans, they really have no right to complain about yomanga rehosting theirs. Credit or no credit, if leguron doesn't want his stuff on your site, and you still do it despite his request. He doesn't have to listen to you rehosting your stuff. Because like your argument, mangafox and other aggregator sites do it too so why attack the little guy*.

*you both are small in comparison to MF and other aggregator sites.

For Mangaupdates though, this is a good measure to not be involved if these groups are alerting you that they "released" something that isn't theirs. And I don't mean the copyrights, the scanlation*****

It kind of reminds me of Easy Going Scans vs Manga Pirates. They were fighting over series and there was lot of ranting on speed vs quality. I guess at least they weren't stealing credits from each other

that's the point. I rehost but i keep it original from it source.

Yomanga took my translation. Remove my watermark and put in their credits.

i guess i dont mind mangafox or other rehost mine. Totally fine at least they wont spend their time to photoshop out my watermark.

re-hosting content is one thing, re-hosting content with removed credit it totally another ball game. Especially true when the same website also do scanlating.

Like MF and other aggregator they just host the original content.

Basically, re-hosting by deliberately removing credit page warrant for ill intention. I can understand why HM got angry.

What will happen now at MangaUpdates?

1) I din't steal the raw
2) The manga scans that HeyManga was listed here was totally done by HeyManga itself, with the raws and translation.
3) YoManga steal our translation and I guess they won't be listed anymore, am I right?

Thanks, will we be ban here unfairly?

Create a new group "Hey, Yo" and move all their releases there.

Wow... I'm amazed. Given that the whole premise of fansubs or scanlations is loosely based on piracy with some good intention of bringing content to a different market (I have been a member of fansub groups for anime, so I speak from personal experience), this whole conversation was painful to read. I feel for both parties in some ways, but also resent the animosity. There is already enough divisiveness and bitterness in the world, and most of us go to manga/anime as an escape from the doldrums of this reality, so seeing this kind of acidic banter leaves me feeling disappointed.

TLDR: The real people who are suffering from this fight are the fans like myself, who can no longer keep track of the series they were reading from YM (and/or HM) because the main group releasing the series they were reading isn't allowed to report their releases here anymore. Now, I can't even look at my reading list to see if there was a new chapter released for my series and that sucks salty pirate balls.

Quote
Bruce Wayne: Targeting me won't get their money back. I knew the mob wouldn't go down without a fight, but this is different. They crossed the line.
Alfred Pennyworth: You crossed the line first, sir. You squeezed them, you hammered them to the point of desperation. And in their desperation, they turned to a man they didn't fully understand.
Bruce Wayne: Criminals aren't complicated, Alfred. Just have to figure out what he's after.
Alfred Pennyworth: With respect Master Wayne, perhaps this is a man that *you* don't fully understand, either. A long time ago, I was in Burma. My friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So, we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never met anybody who traded with him. One day, I saw a child playing with a ruby the size of a tangerine. The bandit had been throwing them away.
Bruce Wayne: So why steal them?
Alfred Pennyworth: Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

and later:
Quote
Bruce Wayne: The bandit, in the forest in Burma, did you catch him?
Alfred Pennyworth: Yes.
Bruce Wayne: How?
Alfred Pennyworth: We burned the forest down.
